Factory Engraved Charles Hellis & Sons Sidelock Double Barrel Shotgun with Case - Serial no. 3930, 12 gauge, 26
inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Manufactured 1931-1934 per page 114 of Nigel Brown’s “British Gunmakers Volume One: London”. Blued barrels with a single bead sight on the concave solid rib which is marked with the
Charles Hellis address, 2006 dated London reproofs, 2 1/2 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, and chokes measured modified/full.The casehardened sidelock action displays
scroll engraving, banners, and a shield with two crossed feathers on either side and features double triggers and a tang mounted safety with gold “SAFE”. Multi-point checkered splinter forend with
engraved fittings and straight grip stock with teardrop flats, blank inscription oval, and Pachmayr recoil pad. Includes a leather
bound takedown case with Charles Hellis & Sons interior label and “R. P-J” marked on the lid. Stock measurements: 1 1/2 inch drop at
comb; 2 inch drop at heel; 13 3/4 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 1 oz.
CONDITION: Very good, retaining 98% reapplied blue to the barrels, attractive silver patina on the action and some browning and spotting on the triggerguard, and light handling evidence. The wood is also very good with a chip at the toe and several chips on the forend one of which has a repair, the pad is slightly loose, otherwise mostly sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Factory Engraved Rowland Watson Boxlock Double Barrel Shotgun with Case - Serial no. 22650, 12 gauge, 25 inch solid rib
bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Blued barrels with single bead sight on the matted solid rib, 1970 dated Birmingham proofs, 2 3/4
inch chambers with automatic ejectors, and improved cylinder chokes. The
casehardened boxlock action displays scroll engraving and features double triggers and automatic tang
mounted safety. Multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and straight grip stock with teardrop flats, blank inscription oval, and red rubber recoil pad. Includes a factory marked takedown case. Stock measurements: 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 1/4 inch drop at heel; 15 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 4 oz.
CONDITION: Very good, retaining 97% reapplied blue, brown hue to the action with traces of casecolors visible, light handling evidence, som well-defined wood checkering. The case is good. Mechanically excellent.

-A) Watson Bros. Double Barrel Shotgun - Serial no. 10321, 12 gauge,
26 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Single steel bead sight on the smooth solid rib which is marked “WATSON BROs GUNMAKERS. PAL MAL. LONDON” along with a gold “1”, light engraving at the breeches, 2 1/2 inch chambers with ejectors, and improved cylinder/full chokes. The casehardened boxlock action displays full coverage floral scroll engraving and a gold “1” on the toplever and features double triggers and a tang mounted automatic safety with gold “SAFE”. Attractively figured, multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved fittings with a gold “1” on the release and straight grip stock with teardrop flats, “H” in the inscription oval, and a red rubber recoil pad. Includes a leather bound Watson Bros. takedown case that houses both guns. Stock measurements: 1 9/16 inch drop at comb; 2 5/16 inch drop at heel; 14 15/16 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 7 oz.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 95% original blue finish, traces of original case colors on the action, a few areas
showing very minor spotting, light handling evidence, and overall crisp checkering on the stock and forend.
The case is fair with broken straps and moderate wear. The bottom plate screw is stripped and will not thread in; otherwise, the gun appears mechanically sound.
B) Watson Bros. Double Barrel Shotgun - Serial no. 10493, 12 gauge, 26 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. As “A” with “2”s in place of the “1”s and “HH” in the inscription oval. Stock measurements: 1
1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 5/8 inch drop at heel; 14 7/8 inch length of pull; cast-off; weight 6 lbs. 4 oz.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 90% original blue with the loss concentrated on the triggerguard, traces of
case colors on the action, light handling evidence, a few small marks in the wood, and sharp wood checkering. Mechanically excellent. 367 Estimate: 2,750 - 4,750
