his dogs as they
evidently spooked
a herd of reindeer.
The hunter is
armed with his
trusty lever action
rifle, but is unable
to get a shot off
on the herd as he
makes a failing
attempt at controlling his dogs. Below the artwork is Maas & Seffen’s claim to be the largest receivers of fine furs. Below the address is a December 1948 calendar which additionally gives information on the phases of the moon. Mounted in a wooden frame with the story of the wandering herd attached to the back. Frame measures 14
inches x 30 3/4 inches.
CONDITION: Excellent overall with limited handling marks, some edge wear, and a few creases forming towards
the top.

CHANCE calendar. The artwork by A. Russell on the upper portion depicts a hunter and his dogs as they attempt to snatch a polar bear cub away from it’s mother. The hunter is armed with a rifle which will likely be used to stave off the rage of the beast. A December, 1946 calendar is attached to the bottom of the poster. Mounted in a wooden frame. Frame measures 18 inches x 30 1/2 inches.
CONDITION: Very good with storage and handling marks, some creasing, and a small tear on the left side. Colors remain vibrant.
