CONDITION: Very good plus with 25% original blue finish, patterns of the age faded original case colors, much of the original silver plating, crisp engraving and inscription, minor pitting mainly on the cylinder, and generally mild overall wear. The grip is very fine with some shrinkage from age and has attractive natural tones and grain. Mechanically needs work: the cylinder does not rotate when the hammer is cocked. The case and accessories are fine with moderate age and storage related wear. Overall, this is a very attractive example of Colt’s final percussion revolver model complete with a presentation inscription for one of the most powerful men in the country: Secretary of State William H. Seward. Estimate: 60,000 - 80,000
