Special Order Winchester Model 90 Slide Action Rifle with Scarce Smooth Pistol Grip Stock in Desirable
.22 Long Rifle - Serial no. 799315, 22 LR cal., 24 inch octagon bbl., blue finish, smooth walnut pistol grip stock. Manufactured in 1929 according to the Winchester Firearms Collectors Association. This special order rifle features an unusual combination of globe front and Marbles flip up rear notch sights, and a Marbles flip up rear peep sight on the upper tang. With standard barrel markings, Winchester “WP” proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech, Third Model receiver with exposed locking lugs, and matching numbers on the receiver and lower tang. Short 12 groove slide handle and special order smooth pistol grip stock with Winchester hard rubber grip cap, and blue steel crescent buttplate. The left side of the lower tang, end of the buttstock, and inside of the buttplate are stamped with the special order assembly number “45”.
CONDITION: Very fine with 90% bright original blue finish, some mild edge wear and scattered specks of surface oxidation. The wood is also very fine with small dings throughout, and some flaking blue on the buttplate. Mechanically excellent.

Winchester Model 61 Slide Action Rifle in Very Scarce .22 WRF Caliber - Serial no. 68073, 22 WRF cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1948. Has a nickel beaded blade front sight and an elevation adjustable rear sight. The barrel has the second style inscription along with Winchester “WP” proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech, “W.R.F.” marking on front receiver face, smooth trigger and serrated hammer catch, and tang mounted peep sight. The round barrel Model 61 chambered for .22 W.R.F. was only produced between 1947 and 1950. Mounted on a 17 groove flat bottom walnut forearm and smooth pistol grip stock with checkered steel buttplate.
CONDITION: Very fine with 85% plus original blue finish, moderate cycling and edge wear, small surface scratches, and a small patch of light spotting on the barrel. The wood is also very fine with small dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
