Savage Model 1907 Pistol - Serial no. 9030B, 380 ACP cal., 4 1/4 inch
round bbl., blue finish, hard rubber grips. This pair of consecutively
serialized Model 1907 pistols were manufactured c. 1914-1915. Both

Issue 1907-13 Modification No. 4
variant, which most notably features
the large “SAVAGE” trademark on
the left of the frame and lacks the
“9MM” caliber marking on top of the
slide. Interestingly, despite being
consecutively serialized, these
two pistols appear to have been
manufactured during a transitional
period and feature two different
hammer styles, “A” having the heavy
spur style, and “B” having the rounded style. The “A” Pistols is
marked “S.O.CO.NJ.No.11” on the back strap for the Standard Oil Co.
of New Jersey. They both otherwise have standard features including
checkered hard rubber grips with Savage logos.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 85% plus of the original blue finish with the
balance having thinned to a smooth grey patina, most noticeably on the back strap by the inscription. The grips are excellent with a few very light handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. B) Savage Model 1907 Pistol - Serial no. 9029B, 380 ACP cal., 4 1/4 inch round bbl., blue finish, hard rubber grips. See “A”.
