the sides, blade front and adjustable rear sights, nickel oiler, 22 LR magazine, walnut handled brush, cleaning rod and screwdriver. There is also an oak compartment which contains the original hanging tag, keys to the case, extractor and engraved slide stop for the .22 and bushing tool.
CONDITION: Excellent. The pistol retains 98% original blue finish with finish loss limited to the sides of the grip safety from normal handling. The grips are as new. The conversion kit is near new with only the slightest handling/storage marks. The case and all the accessories are excellent. Mechanically excellent. A beautiful factory engraved Colt Gold Cup National Match pistol with matching engraved conversion kit and all the accessories.

National Match Semi-Automatic Pistol with
Factory Letter and Accessories - Serial no.
70N79221, 45 ACP cal., 5 inch round bbl., blue
finish, walnut grips. This is an outstanding example
of a signed factory engraved Colt MK IV Series 70
Gold Cup National Match pistol. The included factory letter lists this revolver as being chambered in .45 ACP with a 5 inch barrel, blue finish, grips not listed, and calss “D” standard level scroll engraving with the engravers name not listed when shipped to Bob’s Gun & Supplies in Wever, Iowa on August 26, 1983. This pistol features beautifully executed broad leaf scroll engraving with a punch dot background covering 95% of the pistol. The slide rib, inside of the trigger guard, back strap and grip safety are the only surfaces not engraved. The left side
of the slide is marked “COLT MKIV/SERIES ‘70/GOLD CUP NATIONAL MATCH/.45 AUTOMATIC CALIBER” followed
by the Rampant Colt amid the engraving and the right side is marked “GOLD CUP/NATIONAL MATCH” followed by the trophy cup. The one line address and serial number are marked on the right side of the frame. The left lower side of the frame under the grip is signed “JAN
L GWINNELL/COLT ENGR. 11-8-1982”. Blade front and adjustable Elliason rear sights, adjustable serrated trigger, serrated grip straps, Colt marked magazine and fitted with checkered walnut grips with gold Colt medallions. The pistol is complete in a beautiful walnut case with green fitted felt lining. The top of the lid is leather and the inside has a black nylon label with gold embossed “COLT/ Custom/COLT’S PATENT FIRE ARMS” and the Rampant Colt.
