Rare Gold Plated
Factory Engraved Smith
& Wesson Pre-Model 40
Centennial Double Action
Revolver - Serial no. 1061, 38 S&W special cal., 1 3/4
inch solid rib bbl., gold finish, rosewood grips. Manufactured in 1953. This revolver is factory class “A” floral scroll engraved with
a matted background and gold plating. The engraving covers the
frame sides, breech end of the barrel on the sides, rear top of the frame and cylinder flats. A factory letter does not accompany
the revolver, however the consignor reports that this revolver was shipped to Rex Firearms in New York who was Smith & Wesson’s exclusive distributor of engraved guns in the 1950s. The barrel and frame have the standard markings. Four screw frame with the upper side plate screw, the cylinder release is the flat serrated style, the grip safety is serrated and the trigger is casehardened. Pinned barrel, serrated front ramp sight and square notch rear sight. Fitted with smooth rosewood grips with silver S&W medallions. Complete in a Rex Firearms supplied case of high gloss finished rosewood with green lining.
CONDITION: Excellent. The revolver retains 98% of the original gold plating with wear limited to the muzzle and some high edges. There is a drag line on the cylinder. The grips are also excellent with a few minor handling marks. The engraving and markings
are sharp. The action is excellent. The case is excellent with a couple of light scratches on the exterior and only faint wear on the lining. The support for the barrel is broken, but held in place by the lining.

Model 36 Double Action Revolver
- Serial no. 540387, 38 S&W special cal., 2 inch
solid rib bbl., blue/gold finish, synthetic grips. Manufactured in the mid 1960s and subsequently upgraded by renowned American engraver Jeff Flannery. Ramped blade front sight, fixed notch rear sight, gold plated hammer and trigger, and smooth white grips. The revolver
is covered by beautifully
executed leafy scroll
engraving with starbursts
and gold inlaid wire
borders and accents as
well as three bands at the
rear of the cylinder. In
addition to the scroll and wire work there is a relief inlaid gold bald
eagle bust on the sideplate. Jeff Flannery has signed his work “J. Flannery Engr.” on the upper right hand side of the frame.
CONDITION: Very fine as embellished by Jeff Flannery, retaining 99% blue and gold finishes showing only some minor handling evidence. Mechanically excellent.

30-1 Double Action Revolver with
Pearl Grips and Case - Serial no. H10233, 32 S&W
Long cal., 2 inch solid rib bbl., gold finish, pearl
grips. Manufactured in 1969 and subsequently
custom embellished by the hand of prolific American engraver Jeff Flannery. The gun features a ramped blade front sight, fixed notch
rear sight, and pearl grips. The revolver is covered
by highly attractive broad leafy scroll engraving over a punch dot background with starbursts scattered throughout. Flannery
has signed his work
“J. Flannery Engr.” on the left side of the frame below the cylinder. Included is a custom built hardwood display case with a regal purple lining.
CONDITION: Very fine as embellished by Jeff Flannery, retaining 99% gold finish with a few spots of minor rubbing and limited handling evidence. The case is also very fine with light storage evidence. Mechanically excellent.

gold finish, pearl grips. Manufactured in 1983. 24 karat gold plated finish with full coverage floral scroll engraving by Jeff Flannery (subtle “JF” on left side
of frame) and fitted with mother of
pearl grips.
CONDITION: Very fine as professionally
embellished by Jeff Flannery, retaining
99% of the gold plated finish. The fitted
grips are excellent with highly attractive
fiery colors. Mechanically excellent.

Daniel Cullity Signed Engraved and Gold Inlaid Smith & Wesson Model 60 Double Action Revolver with Box - Serial no. R7575, 38 S&W special cal., 2 inch solid rib bbl., stainless finish, walnut grips. Manufactured
in 1969 and subsequently engraved by renowned American engraver Daniel Cullity, long known as one of the finest firearms artisans of the late 20th century. The barrel, frame, and back strap display 80% coverage floral scroll engraving with wavy line motifs on the sides of the top strap and rear of the frame flanking the hammer. The side plate is signed “D. Cullity” beneath a gold inlaid eagle in flight. Fitted with serrated blade front and frame notch rear sights as well as a set of checkered panel walnut grips with “S&W” medallions. Includes original S&W blue box.
CONDITION: Excellent as embellished by Daniel Cullity, with limited handling marks, a light cylinder drag line, and crisp engraving and grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. Box is very fine.

Model 629-6 Classic Double Action Revolver - Serial no. DLA9792, 44 Magnum
cal., 6 1/2 inch solid rib bbl., stainless finish, walnut grips. Manufactured as one of
300 engraved by Merlin Einright. The revolver displays near full coverage deep relief
chiseled floral scroll engraving with a relief eagle with its wings unfurled on the left and an
eagle bust on the right of the frame. The inside of the frame is marked “MLE/No. 229” for the
engraver and that this is number 229 in the issue. Fitted with red ramp front and adjustable
rear sights as well as a set of floral laser cut and checkered walnut grips with S&W medallions. CONDITION: Excellent overall with limited handling marks and crisp relief engraving and grip checkering. Mechanically excellent.
