Giovanelli Game Scene Engraved Beretta .410 Bore Giubileo Over/
Under Shotgun with Case - Serial no. GIU938B, 410 gauge, 28 inch vent rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Blued Excelsior steel barrels with a single
bead sight on the matted vent rib, standard Beretta markings, light engraving around the breech, 2007 dated Italian proofs, interchangeable choke system (modified/full installed), and 3 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The coin finished sideplated boxlock action displays beautifully executed floral scroll engraving surrounding a trio of game scenes with a mated pair of snipe in their nest on the left, a pair of pointers on the underside under a “BERETTA/GALLERY” banner, and a covey of quail in flight over a field on the right. The floral scroll also envelopes Beretta shields on either side of the action and extends to the trigger guard, both tangs, and the toplever. The engraving was carried out by the renowned firm Bottega C. Giovanelli, who have signed the work on the triggerplate to the right of the trigger. The gun features a single trigger and a tang mounted automatic safety/selector switch. Highly figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings, gold “PB” shield inlaid in the underside, and “Beretta/Gallery” in gold on the latch as well as a straight grip stock with a thick leather covered recoil pad. Included is a factory takedown case, a pair of nickel snap caps, and three extra choke tubes (cylinder, improved cylinder, and improved modified). Stock measurements: 1 5/16 inch drop at comb; 2 inch drop at heel; 15 1/2 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 15 oz. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and coin finishes with limited handling evidence, some dried oil on the action, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. LOT 570 Consecutive Pair of Gold Inlaid Beretta DT10 Trident Over/Under Shotguns -A) Beretta DT10 Trident Shotgun - Serial no. AF0336B, 12 gauge, 30 inch vent rib bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Blued Excelsior steel barrels with red fiber optic front sight on the vent rib with gold inlaid “1” at the breech, 2000 dated proofs, chambers marked 2 3/4” with ejectors, chokes marked improved modified/full, a band of wavy line engraving at the front of the chamber and at the breech, and importer marking under the forearm. Blued action with “P. Beretta” inlaid in gold on either side as well as Beretta’s trident logo on the underside above “DT10/Trident”, carved fences, gold inlaid “1” on the trigger guard, crossbolt, and manual tang safety. Mounted in a magnificently contrasted, checkered walnut forend and pistol grip stock with gold inlaid “1” on the forend latch and “MG” on the bottom of the buttstock, and Decelerator buttpad. Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .726/.726 inches; choke constriction .031/.041 inches; minimum wall thickness .038/.041 inches; 1 5/16 inch drop at comb; 1 7/16 inch drop at heel; 14 5/16 inch length of pull; weight 8 lbs. 2 oz. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% original blue finish with limited handling marks. Wood is very fine with scattered dings and scratches and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. B) Beretta DT10 Trident Shotgun - Serial no. AF0337B, 12 gauge, 30 inch vent rib bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. As “A” with “2” in place of “1”. Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .726/.726 inches; choke constriction .031/.040 inches; minimum wall thickness .039/.041 inches; 1 5/16 inch drop at comb; 1 7/16 inch drop at heel; 14 3/8 inch length of pull; weight 8 lbs 2 oz. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% original blue finish with limited handling marks. Wood is very fine with scattered dings and scratches and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
