Rare Heckler & Koch PSG1 Semi-Automatic Sniper Rifle with Scope, Case, and Accessories - Serial no. D0094, 7.62 mm Nato cal., 26 inch heavy round bbl., black finish, synthetic stock, hardwood grips. Said to have been developed at the
request of West German police units following the Munich Massacre at the 1972 Summer Olympics, where police units lacked the precision shooting ability to effectively neutralize the terrorists to prevent the hostages from being killed. H&K was commissioned to create a high capacity, highly accurate, semi-automatic rifle for military and law enforcement use. Based on the H&K G3 series of rifles with a 26 inch, heavyweight, free floating, stainless steel barrel, no provisions for standard fixed sights, low noise bolt closing device (similar to the forward assist on the AR-15). The receiver has integral scope bases with Hensoldt PSG1 6x42 illuminated reticle scope, and PSG1 pattern trigger pack with adjustable shoe. The magazine well is correctly marked “PSG1 D 0094” and dated “ID” (1983), contoured grip with adjustable palm shelf, and fixed polymer buttstock with
adjustable comb and length of pull. The bolt carrier is properly serrated for the closure device, with “PSG1” marked bolt head. Includes nylon sling and a metal storage case with fitted interior, containing an HK Loga system tripod, sling, three extra magazines, cleaning tools, and small tools. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 95% original black finish with limited handling marks, scuffs on the underside of the barrel, and crisp grip texturing. Mechanically excellent. Scope is excellent with untested illumination, clear optics, and a crisp reticle. Case and accessories are very fine to excellent. Rare Pre-Ban Heckler & Koch/Golden State Arms HK41 Semi-Automatic Rifle - Serial no. 10B569, 7.62 mm Nato cal., 18 inch round bbl., phosphate
finish, synthetic stock. Imported in 1966 by Golden State Arms, one of the first importers of the early HK G3 and HK41 rifles. Hooded post front and 4-position drum rear sights, standard markings and “4/66” date on the left side of the magazine well, trigger group marked “MADE IN GERMANY FOR/SANTA FE DIVISION/GOLDEN STATE ARMS CORPORATION/PASADENA-CALIFORNIA-U.S.A./CAL. 7,62 mm NATO”, later style “S/F” marked trigger group with welded tabs (to prevent the installation of an automatic trigger group) and functional flapper magazine release, ventilated and fluted handguard, textured pistol grip, and fixed buttstock with ribbed buttplate. Numbers match on receiver, trigger housing, buttstock, bolt, and bolt carrier. Includes an extra magazine. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 95% original phosphate finish with scattered handling marks, a ding in the rear sight between settings “1” and “2”, and a circular safety drag line.
