Throughout the entire productions run, it was offered in two-door coupe hard-tops and convertibles, four-door sedans, and four-door station wagons. The Chevelle Super Sport (SS) was truly Chevy’s entry into the American muscle car battle, competing against other legendary GM models such as the Pontiac GTO, Oldsmobile 442, and Buick Gran Sport. These also competed with the likes of the Ford Fairlane and later entries like the Javelin and AMX by AMC, as well
as the GTX, Roadrunner, and Super Bee by Chrysler. This example, being a 1967, shows the final redesign of the first generation of
the Chevelle, the most noticeable of which is the large wraparound taillights. It has a matching numbers 396/325 HP motor and 4-speed manual transmission, with 21,203 miles on the odometer. It is in the very attractive Marina Blue with white striping down the sides, with matching blue interior and a convertible top. It has the attractive vented hood, SS badging throughout, and a nice looking set of American Racing Torq-Thrust style wheels wrapped in the classically styled BFGoodrich Radials. Includes a clean Iowa title.
