 The stock is of the same exceptional quality with matching fleur-de-lis checkering and engraved and gold inlaid “GRAND/AMERICAN” grip cap, blank gold inscription
  oval, and checkered Winchester buttplate. The included letter
from Connecticut Shotgun Manufacturing Co. confirms the current configuration and that
the information on its configuration was being submitted to the Cody Museum at that time
and that it was sold to them from the assets acquired through the liquidation of U.S. Repeating
Arms (Winchester). Also included is a leather bound takedown case with canvas cover, cleaning
tools, snap caps, and an extra 28 gauge barrel set. The extra barrel set measures 28 inches with a vent rib and bears matching number, 2
3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, chokes marked “IMP CYL”/”MOD”, and has its own matching checkered beavertail forend, all of which is
also confirmed in the above letter. Barrel measurements for the extra set (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .552/.553 inches; choke constriction
.005/.008 inches; minimum wall thickness .030/.029 inches. Barrel and stock measurements for the primary set (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .615/.615
inches; choke constriction .007/.013 inches; minimum wall thickness .038/.039 inches; 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 1/4 inch drop at heel; 14 1/2 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs. 9 oz. CONDITION: Near mint overall as finished by CSMC, retaining 99% original blue and gold finishes with a light plum coloration to the blue on the barrels and minor handling evidence. The wood is also near mint with a few minor blemishes in the varnish, minor handling evidence, and sharp checkering. The case and extra barrel set are both excellent. Mechanically excellent.
