“Mountain Man” Bronze by Frederic Remington - This bronze depicts a man riding his horse down a steep mountainside. The man leans back while gripping his rifle in one hand to help prevent his companion from falling down the steep surface and holds his possessions on the animal. The bronze is signed “Frederic Remington” to the left of the duo, on the hillside. The statue rests on a marble base with a brass plaque with the title of the piece. Measures 27x14x12 inches. CONDITION: Excellent with a few minor storage and handling marks. Estimate: 3,000 - 4,500

bronze depicts a horseman
holding on for life
and limb to the
reigns of his horse
as it becomes more
and more evident that
he is in for the ride, or
drag in this case, of a lifetime.
The bucking bronco is shown in the middle of a fit of hysteria, mid buck. The cowboy is clearly trying to stammer back to his feet to try and get back on the beast before it’s too late. The piece is signed “F. Remington” on the ground beneath the man’s leg. The
bronze rests on a marble base. Measures
19x18x12 inches.
CONDITION: Very fine with
some storage and handling marks.

Fredric Remington depicts an
iconic western scene. We see a
cowboy mounted on a bucking
bronco in an effort to tame
the wild beast. The taming
of horses was an essential part
of life on the frontier
and stands as a
metaphor for the
spread of the United
States from one coast
to the other. The
bronze measures
15x24x33 inches.
Included is a wooden
display table for the
bronze measuring
22x34x42 inches
and a certificate of
authenticity from the
Galerie Michelangelo.
CONDITION: Excellent
with some storage
and handling marks
as well as an attractive
patina. The table is very
fine with some minor
dings and scratches in
the top.

Large Pair of Stag Head Urns by P.J. Mene - Most magnificent, forest themed, huge, and rare a pair of Stag head vases. These bronzes are signed “P.J. Mene” (Fr. 1810-1871) at the bottom and each one has two trophy stag heads along with antlers circling the vase. These great hallway forest vases have a bulbous shape with a diamond pattern circling the bottom of the rim. Each vase measures 30x30x48 inches and weighs 100 lbs. These vases are the largest pair the artist made and are quite rare as they are a pair.
CONDITION: Very good with some storage and
handling marks as well as an attractive patina.

Stagecoach Bronze by Charles M. Russell - Tremendous western bronze statue of a team of six horses pulling a stagecoach signed on the rear bumper by Russel (Charles M. Russel 1865-1922, American). This bronze is reminiscent of the classic John Wayne movie “Stagecoach” with a pair of drivers holding the reins of six galloping horses pulling a stagecoach with baggage on the roof. The coach is just coming down a small hill with the two front horses rearing up on their two legs. The piece measures 51 3/4x12x23 inches and weighs 135 lbs. CONDITION: Very fine with some storage and handling marks and an attractive patina. The scale of this bronze would make it the perfect addition to any den or bar! Estimate: 2,500 - 5,000

great western
bronze depicts
a frontiersman as he makes his way down a mountain with his team of three horses. The group of travelers are packed to the brim with the necessary items for survival in the unforgiving American West. The rider,
who is on the rear horse, clutches to his Hawken
rifle in his left hand as he watches his lead and middle horses slip and slide down the steep embankment. The work measures 26x19x36 inches. Included with the bronze is
a wooden pedestal with an affixed brass plaque giving information on the story of the bronze.
CONDITION: Very fine with limited storage and handling marks as well as an attractive patina. The pedestal is also very fine with some wear on the surface where the bronze rests. This work of art is a true embodiment of the perils
