    The revolver retains U.S. Ordnance inspector initials (“RAC” on the left side of the frame and rear cylinder face and “JTT” on the left side of the trigger guard) as well as “U.S./ARMY/ MODEL/1903/No/219/750”
on the butt and “P” on the
underside of the barrel.
The barrel has the two-
line Colt address/patent
dates marking ending with
“MAR.5.95” on top and
“COLT. D.A. 38” inside a
banner. With a U.S. leather
flap holster marked “ROCK ISLAND/ARSENAL/1908/HEK.” CONDITION: Excellent, retaining
95% plus bright original high
polish blue finish with slight thinning on the back strap and slight muzzle wear. 90% original nitre blue remains on the hammer and trigger. The
grips are also excellent with crisp checkering and highly attractive grain and color. Mechanically excellent. The holster is very fine. An exceptional, extremely rare factory engraved Colt Army Model 1903 DA Revolver that will be a stand out piece in any Colt DA or firearms art collection.
