Factory Game Scene Engraved Emil R. Martin Three Trigger Drilling with Zeiss Scope - Serial no. 3440, 16/9.3x72R gauge, 26 3/4 inch solid rib bbl., blue/coin grey finish, walnut stock. Blued Krupp steel barrels with beaded blade front sight, flip-up rear sight, and quick detach scope mount holding a Zeiss Diatal-ZA 6x42mm T* scope on the matted solid rib, 2 1/2 inch chambers with extractor, floral engraving at the breeches, and choke constrictions of .013/.026 inches. The coin grey finished boxlock action displays beautifully
relief cut game scenes with a capercallie cock calling to a trio of hens on the left, a pair of sparring roe bucks on the right, and a red stag and hind on
the underside covered by the triggerguard, all of the scenes are surrounded by beautiful oak leaf designs over a matted background. The gun features cocking indicators, a tang mounted
safety, and a very interesting and unusual three trigger mechanism. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock horn inlays at the wrist, raised cheekpiece, capercallie engraved cartridge compartment, and horn buttplate. Length of pull 14 3/4 inches (cast-off ). Weight 8 lbs. 3 oz. with scope.
CONDITION: Very good, retaining 90% original blue finish, attractive coin grey finish on the action, scattered minor spotting, and light handling evidence. There are small cracks on both sides of the stock head and missing one horn inlay, otherwise the wood is very good with a few dings and scratched and mostly worn checkering. The scope optics are crisp. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,500 - 4,000
LOT 3481 Factory Game Scene Engraved Franz Sodia Drilling with Scope - Serial no. 151.38., 16/22 CF gauge, 25 5/8 inch solid rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Blued Bohler steel barrels with a beaded blade front sight, flip-up rear sight, and German claw mounts holding a Hensoldt-Wetzlar scope on the matted solid rib, 2 1/2 inch chambers with extractors, and choke constrictions of .047/.047 inches. The coin finished action displays three deeply cut game scenes depicting a fox and a covey of quail on the left, a roe buck and doe with pheasants on the right, and a mallard on the underside all surrounded by leafy scroll. The gun
features double triggers (front is a single set), side mounted barrel selector, and automatic tang safety. Lightly figured, multi-point checkered forend and pistol grip stock with cheekpiece, horn grip cap, and steel trapdoor buttplate. Length of pull 14 5/8 inches. Weight 7 lbs. 7 oz. with scope. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 90% original blue finish and 95% plus original coin, scattered minor oxidation, some thinning towards the breech, and mild handling evidence overall. The wood is very good with numerous dings and scratches and worn but well-defined checkering. Scope optics are clear. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,500 - 4,000

Serial no. G3112, 16/7x65R gauge, 25 5/8 inch solid rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Blued Krupp Laufstahl barrels with beaded blade front, flip-up rear sights, and claw mounts holding a Nickel Supra 1.5-6x E/D/S scope on the matted solid rib, 1966 dated German proofs, rifle caliber marked “7x65R”, and dual bands of engraving around the breeches. The shotgun barrels have chambers proved at 2 3/4 inches with a single extractor and choke constrictions of .018/.035 inches. The coin finished, scalloped, boxlock action displays a roaring red stag on the left and a roe buck on the right both surrounded by scroll. The gun features double triggers (front is a single set), cocking indicators, a
Greener style safety, and tang mounted selector switch. Lightly figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with cheekpiece and brown rubber buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine overall, retaining 98% plus original blue and coin finishes, some minor patches of thinning on the barrels, minor handling evidence, and sharp checkering overall. Blued Bohler steel barrels with a beaded blade front sight, flip-up rear sight, and German claw mounts holding a Zeiss Diatal-D 6x42mm scope on the matted solid rib, 1965 dated Austrian proofs, and import mark under forend. The shotgun barrels have 2 3/4 inch chambers and choke constrictions of .044/.048 inches. The coin finished action displays a roaring red stag and hind on the left and a pair of running hares on the right all surrounded by scrollwork and features double triggers (front is single set), bushed firing pins, a tang mounted barrel selector, and Greener style safety. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with cheekpiece, black grip cap, and rubber recoil pad. Length of pull 14 3/16 inches. Weight 8 lbs. 3 oz. with scope.
CONDITION: Very fine overall, retaining 98% original blue finish, 90% original coin finish, light handling evidence, slight wear at the muzzles, some discoloration in the coin, some varnish crazing on the stock, and overall sharp forend and stock checkering.
