Engraved and Gold Inlaid Winchester Model 21 Grand American Style Double Barrel Shotgun Three Barrel Set with Case - Serial no. W33950, 20 gauge, 26 inch vent rib bbl., blue/gold finish, walnut
stock. Blued Winchester Proof Steel barrels with a single red bead sight on the matted vent rib which is marked “CUSTOM BUILT BY WINCHESTER”, 3 inch wedges of scroll engraving at either breech and muzzle,
2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, and chokes marked “IMP CYL”/”MOD.” The blued boxlock action displays beautiful modified Grand American pattern engraving consisting of near full coverage floral
scrollwork surrounding four gold inlaid game scenes. The left side shows a setter in a field scene, the right has a pointer in a field scene, the underside shows a pair of flushing pheasant in a field scene, and a bust of a pointer

on the triggerguard all rendered in highly detailed gold inlay. The gun features a gold plated single selective trigger and tang mounted automatic safety switch. Beautifully figured, 21-B pattern fancy fleur-de-lis checkered beavertail forend with engraved fittings and ebony tip inlay and pistol grip stock with blued “GRAND/AMERICAN” gold inlaid grip cap and fleur- de-lis checkered bare butt. Included are two extra matching numbered and engraved barrel sets, one in 28 gauge and one in .410 bore, both measuring 26 inches and featuring their own forends, improved cylinder/modified marked chokes, and chambers with automatic ejectors. Also included is a leather bound takedown case with canvas cover, gold plated oiler, and three sets of gold plated snap caps along with a Model 21 hang tag, two booklets, biographical information on long time Winchester employee Edward E. Ulrich who commissioned the gun, and information on the 28 gauge Model 21s. Barrel measurements for the 20 gauge set (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .615/.615 inches; choke constriction .038/.038 inches; minimum wall thickness .040/.038 inches. Barrel measurements for the 28 gauge set (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .549/.552 inches; choke constriction .050/.053 inches. Stock measurements: 1 3/8 inch drop at comb; 2 5/16 inch drop at heel; 14 9/16 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs. 5 oz.
CONDITION: Very fine overall as custom embellished to current configuration, retaining 99% blue and gold finishes with limited handling evidence and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. The .410 bore barrel set is excellent. The 28 gauge barrel set is very fine with some oxidation at the muzzles. The case and accessories are excellent. Mechanically excellent.
