Factory Master F. Bielli Game Scene Engraved Beretta Model 689E Over/Under Double Rifle with Scope - Serial no. D99474B, 9.3x74R cal., 24 inch solid rib bbl., blue/bright coin finish, walnut stock. Blued steel barrels with a brass beaded blade front sight, two position (one standing, one folding)
rear sight, and scope mounts holding a Leupold VX-II 2-7x33mm Shotgun scope on the partially matted solid rib. The barrels show light engraving at the upper breech, a gold inlaid “1” at the base of the rib, and 1986 dated Italian proofs. The bright coin finished action displays three big game busts with a bugling elk on the left, a red stag on the right, and a wild boar on the underside, all surrounded by light border engraving with flourishes around the bolts and pivot pin. The triggerplate is signed “Bielli” to the right and ahead of the trigger guard. The rifle features
a pair of gold washed triggers and a tang mounted manual safety switch. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered Schnabel forend with engraved shoe and a gold inlaid “1” on the release lever and pistol grip stock with cheekpiece, blank inscription oval, and factory ventilated brown rubber recoil pad. Length of pull 14 3/8 inches. Weight 8 lbs. 12 oz. including scope. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and bright coin finishes, limited minor handling evidence, some wear to the recoil pad, and overall sharp checkering on the stock and forend. The scope optics are sharp. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 5,500 - 7,500
LOT 3591 Factory Game Scene Engraved Gebruder Merkel Over/Under Double Rifle with Box - Serial no. 021289, 9.3x74R cal., 23 3/4 inch solid rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Blued Krupp steel barrels with ramped blade front sight, fixed rear sight on the nicely matted rear quarter rib, import mark under forend, 2003 dated German proofs, and chambers with automatic ejectors.
The coin finished bolstered boxlock action displays scroll engraving surrounding a pair of game scenes consisting of a roaring red stag and hind on the left and a trio of wild boar on the right. The rifle features bushed firing pins, a single trigger, and a tang mounted manual safety switch. Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with shadow-line cheekpiece and black grip cap and buttplate. Includes the original factory box. Length of pull 14 7/16 inches. Weight 7 lbs. 7 oz. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and coin finishes with limited handling evidence and sharp checkering on the wood. Blued steel barrels with ramped beaded blade front sight, fixed rear sight on the matted raised quarter rib, 2002 dated Italian proofs, import mark under forend, chambers with ejectors, and a single gold inlaid line at the upper breech. The blued boxlock action shows light border engraving with starburst designs around the pivot pin and on the toplever. The rifle features a single trigger and tang mounted manual safety. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered Schnabel forend and pistol grip stock with raised cheekpiece, blank inscription oval, and brown rubber recoil pad. Length of pull 14 5/8 inches. Weight 8 lbs. 10 oz. CONDITION: Excellent retaining 98% plus original blue finish with minor handling evidence. The wood is very fine with a few scattered pressure marks, some high edge wear, and sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 3,000 - 4,500

Blued steel barrels with a ramped beaded blade front sight, flip-up rear sight, and scope mounts holding a Kahles Helia-Super 3-9x scope on the raised solid rib, 1992 dated Italian proofs, and chambers with extractors. The coin finished action shows a roaring red stag on the left, a brown bear on the right, and an Iberian Ibex on the underside with the balance in scroll. The gun features double triggers and a tang mounted manual safety. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered forend and pistol grip stock with cheekpiece and brown rubber
recoil pad. Length of pull 14 7/16 inches. Weight 7 lbs. 7 oz. with scope.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 98% plus original blue and coin finishes with limited handling evidence and a few spots of discoloration on the action. The wood is very fine with a some minor dings and scratches and sharp checkering. Scope optics are clear. Mechanically excellent.
