Outstanding Documented Colt New Service Double Action Revolver with Original Box and Factory Letter - Serial no. 345308, 38 Special cal., 5 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1938, the two-line address and patent dates marked on top of the barrel, and
the model and caliber markings on the left. The
Rampant Colt is marked on the left of the frame. It is
fitted with blade front and groove rear sights and a
pair of checkered walnut grips with Colt medallions.
The included factory letter confirms the current
configuration, grips not listed, as well as shipment
to the City of Pottstown, Pennsylvania on 27 September 1938, likely indicating intended police use, though the high condition would suggest that it was never issued. Includes the original box (faintly numbered), original test target, and Railway Express Agency shipping receipt dated two days after the shipment date listed in the letter.
CONDITION: Excellent plus, retains 99% plus of the original finish with only the slightest handling marks and edge wear, and a faint cylinder drag line. The grips are also excellent plus with crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is fine with some mild edge/ corner wear and some separation of the lid corners.

Colt New Service
Flattop Target Model Double Action Revolver in
.45 Long Colt with Case - Serial no. 306049, 45 Long Colt cal.,
7 1/2 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in
1920. One of only 3,400 flattop target New Service Model revolvers
produced. The top of the barrel is marked with the standard two-line
address and patent dates, model and caliber marking on the left of the
barrel, and the “Rampant Colt” on the left of the frame. It is fitted with the
flat top frame, adjustable blade front and notch rear sights, checkered trigger, checkered grip
straps, and checkered diamond/fleur-de-lis pattern walnut grips with Colt medallions. The
extra .45 ACP cylinder is renumbered to match. Includes a wood case with red felt interior,
screwdriver, bore brush, case key, six dummy .45 Long Colt cartridges, and 18 .45 Long Colt gallery cartridges in wood ammunition tray.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 95% of the original blue finish with scattered edge wear, handling marks, and very limited pitting/spotting. there is a scuff mark on the muzzle. The grips are fine with some handling marks and overall crisp checkering. Case is fine. Mechanically excellent.

Pre-World War II Colt Shooting Master Double Action
Target Revolver - Serial no. 337927, 38 Special cal., 6 inch round bbl.,
blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1933, the top of the barrel is
marked with the standard two-line address and patent dates and the
left is marked “COLT SHOOTING MASTER .38”. The left side of the frame has the
“VP” proof and Rampant Colt at the rear. The matching serial number is marked
on the frame, crane, and the partial matching number “7927” is stamped inside
each grip. The front and back grip straps have the standard factory checkering. It is fitted
with a pinned Patridge blade front sight and adjustable notch rear sights, and a pair of checkered
walnut grips with Colt medallions.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 95% of the original blue finish with some light edge wear and a light
cylinder drag line. The grips are very fine with a minor deformation/flat spot in the left panel and otherwise crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Documented Antique Colt
1889 Navy Model Double Action
Revolver with Factory Letter -
Serial no. 24630, 38 Long Colt cal., 6 inch
round bbl., nickel finish, hard rubber grips.
Manufactured in 1893, the top of the barrel is
marked with the two-line address and patent marking ending
with “NOVEMBER 6th 1888”. The circled Rampant Colt is marked
on the left rear of the frame. The assembly number “846” is
marked on the frame, cylinder latch, crane, barrel, and inside both grips. The full serial number is on the butt. The included factory letter confirms the current configuration, grips not listed, as well as shipment to Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Co. in Chicago on 30 March 1893.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 85% plus of the untouched original nickel with
the balance having thinned to a smooth brown patina and speckling, most noticeably on the back strap, and 90% of the original niter blue. The grips are very fine with the left panel showing an attractive faded chocolate tone, a few scattered light handling marks, and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Scarce Colt Marshal Model Double Action Revolver with
Desirable 2 Inch Barrel - Serial no. 838293, 38 Special cal., 2 inch
round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured 1954-1956, fewer than
2,500 Marshals were made. The two-line address is marked on the right
of the barrel and the two-line model and caliber markings are on the left.
The left of the frame is marked with a Rampant Colt towards the rear. The frame
below the serial number is marked “GGM”. It is fitted with a blade front sight and
frame groove rear sight, as well as a pair of checkered walnut grips with Colt medallions.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 75% plus of the original blue finish with the balance having thinned to
mostly a smooth grey patina, primarily on the grip straps, the muzzle, and a cylinder drag line. The
grips are also very fine with a few scattered light handling marks and otherwise crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
