Ruger AC-556 Selective Fire Rifle, Class III/NFA Fully Transferable Machine Gun - Serial no. 190-07874, 223 cal., 18 1/2 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Marketed to law enforcement and foreign military clients, the AC-556 family of weapons is the Mini-14 223 caliber rifle configured as a factory original selective fire machine gun. Fixed blade front and adjustable peep rear sights, with no muzzle device, threading or bayonet lug on the barrel. The hold-open device is externally mounted, with a manual control lever, the safety is fit to the front of the triggerguard, and a low profile checkered selector switch is present on the right side of the receiver heel, with functional semi-automatic, 3-round burst, and full-automatic settings. A number “6” label has been applied to the trigger guard, possibly a police department rack number. Smooth hardwood stock, with hardwood upper handguard, smooth wrist, smooth alloy buttplate and a brown leather sling. CONDITION: Very fine, with 80% of the original blue finish, with oxidization and spotting on the muzzle, front sight, gas block, and around the bolt, some scuffs and dents around the rear sight, and mild handling marks. The stock is fine, with scattered light dings and scratches overall and some heavier dents on the buttstock. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. John Norrell/Olympic Arms CAR-AR Selective Fire Rifle, Class III/NFA Fully Transferable Machine Gun, with
Extra Upper Receiver - Serial no. Z3530, 223 cal., 14 1/2 inch round bbl., matte black phosphate finish, synthetic stock.
Originally manufactured by Olympic Arms as a semi-automatic rifle, then converted by John Norrell to a selective fire
automatic rifle. The upper receiver is A2 pattern, with an AAC combination flash hider and silencer mount, Magpul
MOE handguard, and bulls-eye pattern forward assist. The lower receiver bears the SGW/Olympic markings on the left
side, with Norrell’s address on the right, with a hole added for the sear pin and the selector stop cut away to allow full
movement of the right handed selector switch, and a MOE grip and six-position telescoping buttstock installed. The bolt
carrier is full auto configuration, with both the carrier and bolt head matte black finished and unmarked. Included with the rifle is a manual and an additional upper receiver, A1 pattern, with 3-prong flash hider, unmarked pencil profile barrel, triangular handguard, bullseye forward assist, and a bolt assembly finished and marked similar to the one in the A2 upper. Magazine absent.
CONDITION: Excellent, with 90% plus matte black phosphate finish, showing light handling marks overall, some rubbing on the rear of the lower receiver, and a red spot (possibly paint) on the left side of the barrel on the A2 upper. The furniture is in equal condition. Mechanically excellent.
