Outstanding Factory Master Angelo Bee Signed, Engraved, and Gold Inlaid Belgian Browning 20 Gauge Superposed Shotgun - Serial no. 58478V69, 20 gauge, 26 1/2 inch vent rib bbl., blue/gold finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1969. Blued steel barrels with dual bead sights on
the matted vent rib, hand cut barrel markings, single gold band at the upper breech, 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, and chokes marked “**$”/”**-” (skeet/improved cylinder). The blued action shows exceptionally fine embellishments
including deep floral scroll over a matted background, gold inlaid borders and accent lines, and three outstanding semi-relief engraved gold game scenes. The right game scenes depicts a retriever flushing a pheasant in a field, the underside has a single in flight, and the left has a pointer flushing a quail from
cover. The scroll extends to the toplever, trigger guard, and lower tang which also displays gold stock screws. The lower left side of the action is signed “ABEE” for highly regarded Master Engraver Angelo Bee. The gun features
a single gold plated trigger and tang mounted safety/selector switch. Exceptionally fine, highly figured, dot bordered
multi-point checkered Schnabel tip forend with engraved fittings and straight grip stock with blank inscription oval and checkered bare butt. Barrel and stock measurements: bore diameter nine inches from the breech .623/.626 inches; choke constriction .004/.009 inches; minimum wall thickness .035/.018 inches; 1 5/16 inch drop at comb; 1 7/8 inch drop at heel; 14 3/8 inch length of pull; weight 5 lbs. 15 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and gold finishes with minor handling evidence, some minor rubbing at the muzzles, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent.

finished action displays Grade III “Fighting Cocks” pattern engraving consisting of scrollwork surrounding a covey of pheasants in a field on the right, a retriever with quail in mouth on the underside, and the
namesake scene of two capercallie cocks fighting in front of a trio of hens on the left. The piece is signed on both sides
“FFUNKEN” for FN Master Engraver Felix Funken. The gun features a single gold washed trigger and a tang mounted safety/selector switch. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and round knob pistol grip stock
with factory buttplate. Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .736/.735 inches; choke constriction .014/.019 inches; minimum wall thickness .041/.038 inches; 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 5/16 inch drop at heel; 14
3/8 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs. 12 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 97% plus original blue and coin finishes with minor handling evidence, some wear ahead of the forend, some minor handling marks in the wood, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent.
