Winchester address/King’s patent dates marking, a barrel band with integral front sight blade, and a folding two leaf rear sight with apertures marked “1, 3” and “5”. A staple-mounted saddle ring is located on the left side of the receiver. The stock has
a crescent buttplate with hinged butt trap door. A three piece cleaning rod is included.
CONDITION: Exceptionally fine as period retailer plated, retaining 95% of the nickel finish. The loading gate retains
30% of the niter blue finish. The wood is very fine with minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 6,500 - 9,500

an individual to be ready to defend themselves against man or beast in a variety of tough situations. This Model 1873 carbine was manufactured in 1886 and has a Third
Model receiver with integral dust cover rail and dust cover with serrated edges. It is fitted with a pinned blade front sight, a three leaf rear sight, and a saddle ring on the left side of the receiver. The barrel is stamped with the two-line address/patent dates legend ahead of
the rear sight and “44 WCF” at the breech, all on the left side. The brass cartridge elevator is
marked “44 CAL.” The upper tang is marked “MODEL 1873.” The serial number is stamped on the lower tang. The
buttplate has a sliding brass trapdoor (cleaning rod not included). The buttplate, hammer and lever are casehardened, and the remaining surfaces are blued. Mounted on a plain walnut forearm and straight grip stock.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 95% professionally blue finish with some freckling and thinning on both barrel bands. 95% niter blue remains on the loading gate. There is some pitting on the barrel around the forearm. The hammer, lever, and buttplate retain 97% case colors. The wood is also very fine with dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.

Attractive Winchester Model 1866 Saddle Ring Carbine
- Serial no. 100281, 44 RF cal., 20 inch round bbl., nickel finish,
walnut stock. This attractive Winchester Model 1866 Saddle Ring Carbine
was manufactured in 1872 and features a period retailer nickel plating. This
carbine has the Third Model receiver profile, single screw upper tang, and the serial number stamped
in block letters on the lower receiver tang behind the lever latch. The left side plate is inscribed in Spanish: “J. de la C i D.” in flowing script

Carbine - Serial no. 211270B, 44-40 WCF cal., 20 inch round
bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. The Model 1873 is one of the most
famous of all American firearms and has been popularly known as “the Gun
