Winchester Model 1886 Lever Action Rifle in .45-90 W.C.F. - Serial no. 24959,
45-90 WCF cal., 26 inch octagon bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. The
Model 1886 is one of the finest Winchester models and was the first repeater based on designs
by John M. Browning. It was developed as a replacement for the weaker toggle link action Model 1876, but their production
was fairly limited at around 160,000 between 1886 and 1935. This fine example is chambered in the desirable .45-90 WCF caliber
and was manufactured 1888. The rifle has the desirable casehardened frame. The rifle is fitted with a dovetail beaded blade front sight and an

Very Scarce Winchester Semi-Deluxe Model 1892 Takedown Lever Action Rifle - Serial
no. 495250, 25-20 WCF cal., 24 inch octagon bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured
in 1909 as a semi-deluxe takedown variation of the Winchester Model 1892 rifle with hard rubber
buttplate, a very scarce configuration for this model. Knowledgeable collectors estimate only 1,403 Model
1892s were manufactured in takedown configuration and only 857 Model 1892s were manufactured with non-standard buttplates.
The rifle is fitted with a dovetail blade front sight, an elevation adjustable rear sight, and a Lyman folding tang peep sight. The top barrel flat
      elevation adjustable rear sight. The top barrel flat has the two-line Winchester legend and the caliber designation. “-MODEL 1886-” is marked on the upper tang. The lower tang has the patent dates marking and serial number. The straight grip stock is fitted with a crescent buttplate.
CONDITION: Very fine. The barrel and magazine tube retain 75% original blue finish with thinning to brown on the balance. 95% original blue finish remains on the bolt. 70% original case colors remain on the frame. The forend cap, hammer, and lever retain 80% original case colors. Patterns of original case colors remain on the buttplate. The undersized sanded and re-oiled buttstock is fine with minimal handling marks. The re-oiled forend is fine. Mechanically excellent.

  is stamped with the two-line Winchester legend ahead of the rear sight and “25-20 WCF” at the breech. The standard Winchester factory oval proof is
stamped on the barrel and receiver at the breech. The left side of the lower tang is stamped “7136 R.” The assembly number “7136” is repeated on the stock inlet. The semi-deluxe walnut forearm and pistol grip stock feature factory checkering. The buttstock is fitted with a Winchester hard rubber shotgun buttplate and grip cap.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 70% plus original blue finish with thinning to brown on the balance. 40% original niter blue remains on the loading gate. The wood is fine with a couple hairline cracks visible on the right upper and lower tangs, minor dings and scratches, and overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Documented Casehardened Winchester Deluxe Model 1876 Lever Action Rifle
with Factory Letter - Serial no. 54273, 45-60 cal., 28 inch octagon bbl., blue/casehardened
finish, deluxe walnut stock. The factory letter lists this “centennial” rifle in .45-60 caliber with an octagon
barrel, plain trigger, checkered pistol grip stock, and casehardened finish. The letter also lists it as received in
the warehouse on August 4, 1886, and as shipped the same day in order 8507. The rifle features a beaded blade front sight, 1876 notch
and folding ladder rear sight, the two-line Winchester address and King’s improvement marking ahead of the rear sight, “CAL. 45-60” on top at the breech, “45-60” on the elevator, integral dust cover guide on the casehardened frame, “{MODEL. 1876.}” on the upper tang, the serial number on the lower tang, and deluxe checkered pistol grip stock and forearm with contrasting grip insert and casehardened steel buttplate.
CONDITION: Very good. The barrel, dust cover, and magazine tube retains 75% of the lightly faded refinished blue, and the caliber and barrel address markings are retouched. Patterns of the mostly silvered original case colors remain on the frame and furniture along with some mottled gray patina. The loading gate retains traces of the faded original niter
blue. The refinished wood is also fine and has crisp recut checkering, attractive figure, some checks in the figure, some small hairline cracks on the right side of the wrist and at the upper tang,
and generally minor handling and storage marks. Mechanically excellent.
