Factory Engraved Abercombie & Fitch Retailer Marked Auguste Francotte 20 Gauge “Jubilee” Double Barrel Shotgun with Case - Serial no. 88672, 20 gauge, 26 inch solid rib bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Blued steel barrels with a single bead sight on the matted solid rib, “ABERCROMBIE & FITCH Co” and “U.S. AGENTS NEW-YORK” marked on the right and left respectively, 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, and choke constrictions of .004/.013 inches. The blued sideclipped sideplated boxlock action
shows handsome light line borders
and features double triggers and a tang mounted safety with gold “S”. Nicely
figured, multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved fittings and round knob pistol grip stock with blank inscription oval and serrated buttplate.
Includes an oak and leather trunk style case. Information supplied by the consignor indicates these Jubilee guns were made from 1939-1941 to commemorate 50 years of Von Lengerke & Detmold and later Abercrombie Fitch & Co. importing Francotte guns, a total of 79 were made. Stock measurements: 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 3/16 inch drop at heel; 14 1/2 inch length of pull; weight 5 lbs. 8 oz. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 97% plus original blue finish with minor handling evidence and a scratch on the left sideplate. The wood is very fine with a few dings and scratches and overall sharp checkering. The case is very good. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,500 - 4,000

Engraved Abercrombie & Fitch Retailer Marked August Francotte Model 30E Side by Side 20 Gauge Shotgun with Case - Serial no. 18924,
20 gauge, 26 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Blue, Siemens Martin steel dovetail lump barrels marked “ABERCROMBIE & FITCH Co./U.S. AGENTS NEW-YORK”, chambers marked and measured at 2 3/4 inches, automatic ejectors, improved cylinder/improved cylinder chokes, and standard Belgian reproofs on the flats. Casehardened box lock action with side plates, side clips, third fastener, and full coverage scroll engraving surrounding
detailed game bird scenes of quail on the right, pigeons on the left, ducks on the underside, and a pheasant on the trigger guard. With dual triggers and automatic sliding tang safety. Nicely figured walnut pistol grip stock and splinter forearm with Anson style push button latch, engraved fittings, blank initial oval, and serrated horn buttplate. Includes a brown leather takedown case with the initials W.P.I. on the lid containing a nickel oiler and two snap caps. Barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech reproofed at “16.0/16.0” (.630/.630) and measured at .632/.631; chokes measured at .010/.010; minimum wall thickness .032/.028; drop at comb 1 1/2 inches; drop at heel 2 1/4 inches; length of pull 13 15/16 inches; weight 5 lbs. 6 oz. CONDITION: Very fine as professionally restored, possibly by the factory. The barrels have 99% high quality refinished blue with slightly light markings and just a few small handling marks. The receiver and locks have 80% vibrant case colors, crisp engraving, and an attractive gray patina on the balance. The wood is also very fine with sharp, freshened checkering, and just a few very small dings. Mechanically excellent. The case is fine with scuffs and scratches. Estimate: 2,500 - 4,000

Factory Engraved Cogswell & Harrison Konor Model Double Barrel Shotgun - Serial no. 69671, 12 gauge, 27 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Blued steel barrels with single bead sight on the smooth solid rib which is marked with the company address and a scroll wedge, bands of engraving at either breech, 1959 dated proofs, 2 3/4 inch chambers with ejectors, and choke constrictions of .031/.031 inches. The casehardened sideplated action displays attractive scroll engraving with signatures on either side and features double triggers and an automatic tang safety. Attractively figured, multi-point checkered oversized forend with engraved fittings and round knob pistol grip stock with teardrop flats, dished cheekpiece, blank inscription oval, and checkered bare butt. Stock measurements: 1 9/16
inch drop at comb; 2 inch drop at heel; 14 5/8 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 15 oz. CONDITION: Very fine overall, retaining 97% original blue and 95% original case colors with some rubbing at the muzzles, small area of spotting on the underside of the left barrel, minor handling evidence, and overall crisp checkering on the wood. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,250 - 3,500

nickel bead sight on the matted solid rib, “VON LENGERKE & DETMOLD” and “U.S. AGENTS. NEW-YORK” marked on the right and left respectively, 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors,
and choke constrictions of .011/.024 inches. The casehardened sideclipped sideplated boxlock action displays nice scroll engraving and features double triggers and a tang mounted automatic safety switch. Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with red rubber recoil pad. Includes an oak and leather takedown case with a previous owner’s name on the lid containing a nickel oiler, two snap caps, and a cleaning rod. Stock measurements: 1 3/8 inch drop at comb; 2 3/8 inch drop at heel; 14 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs. 4 oz. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 98% original blue and 90% casehardened original finishes with minor handling evidence. The wood is very fine with scattered minor scratches and sharp checkering.
