LOT 3456 Scarce B. Searcy & Co. Bolt Action Rifle in .475 A&M - Serial no. L0542, 475 A&M cal., 23 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Blued steel barrels with hooded ramped beaded blade front sight, single standing leaf rear sight on the rear quarter rib which is marked “475 A&M B. SEARCY”, and barrel band with front sling stud. The massive controlled round feed action is marked with only the serial number on the left of the front receiver ring and is not drilled and tapped for scope mounting. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered pistol grip stock with ebony forend tip, shadowline cheekpiece, rear sling stud, and Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% original blue finish with minor handling evidence and bolt and extractor showing typical cycling wear. The stock shows chipping around the inletting at the front of the floorplate, rear of the triggerguard, and rear of the top tang, otherwise the wood is very fine with a few minor scratches, minor wear to the recoil pad, and sharp checkering. Kimber African Model Bolt Action Rifle in .416 Rigby with Scope - Serial no. AF0274, 416 Rigby cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Hooded ramped beaded blade front sight, two position (one standing, one folding) rear sight on the rear quarter rib, front sling stud, standard markings, and scope mounts holding a Leupold VX-3i 1.5-5x20mm scope. Attractive, lightly figured, multi-point checkered pistol grip stock with horn forend tip, blued steel grip cap, shadowline cheekpiece with added padding adhered to the wood, rear sling stud, and factory red rubber recoil pad. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue finish with plum coloration on the action, minor handling evidence, a hairline crack on the forend cap, and sharp checkering on the stock. The scope has sharp optics. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 4,000 - 7,000

Dale Goens Built Winchester Model 70 Bolt Action Rifle in .416 Remington Magnum with Swarovski Scope - Serial no. 369710, 416 Rem Mag cal., 24 inch round ported bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. The receiver was manufactured in 1956 and subsequently upgraded to its current configuration by Dale Goens. Blued Mag-na-ported Shilen barrel with ramped beaded front sight, one folding leaf rear sight, and hand cut “Dale W. Goens #1093” on top ahead of the rear sight and “416 Rem” at the left of the chamber. The blued action shows
its original Winchester serial number and proof and features a jewelled bolt, four-panel checkered bolt knob, and side mounted E. C. Herkner Co. Echo scope mount holding a Swarovski Habicht 1.5-4.5x20A Nova scope (scope box included). The highly figured fleur-de-lis checkered pistol grip stock features an ebony forend tip, a “SUPER GRADE” marked buttplate, shadowline cheekpiece, sling studs, and a Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad. Includes invoices from Goens and notes from the building of the rifle as well as three full boxes of .416 Remington Magnum. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 95% of the blue finish with some rubbing just ahead of the forend, some oxidation at both sights and barrel sling stud, a few scratches in the stock, and sharp checkering in the wood. The scope has sharp optics. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 3,000 - 4,500

Collector’s Pair of Jim Dubell and Dennis Smith Built Bolt Action Rifles with Scopes -A) CZ VZ 24 Rifle in .35 Whelen - Serial no. BR23461, 35 WHELEN cal., 21 inch round
bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Blued steel barrel featuring a hooded ramped beaded blade front sight with flip-up moon bead, sling stud barrel band, three leaf (two folding, one standing) island rear sight, and hand cut caliber marking on the left side of the breech. The blued CZ VZ 24 action with the serial number on the left of the action above the CZ markings, square bridge scope bases, and Talley scope rings holding a Burris Euro Diamond 1.5-6x40mm scope. Nicely figured, multi- point checkered Schnabel tip pistol grip stalking rifle stock with beautiful lines, blued steel grip cap, rear sling stud, and a Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad. This rifle is built to the same specifications by the same members of the American Custom Gunmakers Guild as the “B” rifle, which is its non-matching serial numbered mate. CONDITION: Very fine as custom built, retaining 99% blue finish with limited handling evidence and sharp checkering on the wood. Scope optics are sharp. Mechanically excellent. B) R. Famage Mauser 98 Style Rifle in .458 Winchester Magnum - Serial no. F.29454, 458 Win Mag cal., 19 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Nearly identical to “A”, with the action marked “R. FAMAGE/1957” on the right receiver ring and its own Burris Euro Diamond 1.5-6x40mm scope. Included with this gun is a the American Custom Gunmakers Guild historian certifying that he gun was built by members of the guild, in this case specifically Jim Dubell with the metalwork, Dennis Earl Smith on the stock work, and a grip cap by Lenard Brownell. The letter also states that there is a matching gun built in a different caliber, while it lists the serial numbers as matching, it is believed that the “A” gun is the matching rifle. CONDITION: Very fine as custom built, retaining 99% blue finish and limited handling evidence. The stock shows a few small scratches on the sides but is otherwise very fine with sharp checkering.
The scope optics are sharp. Mechanically excellent. 285 Estimate: 5,500 - 7,500
