Factory Master Andre Watrin Engraved and Gold Inlaid Belgian Browning 20 Gauge Midas Grade Superposed Shotgun Two Barrel Set with Case and Box - Serial no. 44814V7, 20 gauge, 28 inch vent rib bbl., blue/gold finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1967. Single white bead sight on the matted vent rib, standard markings, wedges scroll engraving at the breech end, 3 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, and “**”/”*” (modified/full) chokes. The blued action displays Midas Grade engraving consisting of full coverage scroll engraving on punchdot background surrounding game bird scenes showing a trio of pheasant on the left, three mallards on the right, and a grouse on the underside. The birds are rendered in fine semi-relief gold inlay with gold inlaid borders around the scenes on the sides of the action. The piece is signed “A.WATRIN” on the left side of the action at the low rear for FN Master Engraver Andre Watrin. The triggerguard and tangs
are engraved with matching scroll and checker board patterns and a blank initial shield at the center of the guard. Highly figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and a round knob pistol grip stock with Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad. Includes an invoice showing the purchase of the extra set of 20 gauge barrels with the lot which measure 26 3/8 inches with “**$”/”**-” (skeet/improved cylinder) chokes and 3 inch chambers from the factory. Also includes a Browning Naugahyde takedown case that houses the set as well as a factory box. Barrel measurements for the extra set (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .623/.624 inches;
choke constriction .003/.005 inches; minimum wall thickness .037/.034 inches. Barrel and stock measurements: bore diameter nine inches from the breech .623/.625 inches; choke constriction .014/.029 inches; minimum wall thickness .035/.032 inches; 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 1 13/16 inch drop at heel; 13 1/2 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 3 oz. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 97% original blue and 99% original gold finishes with some loss on the underside of the action, otherwise minor handling evidence. The wood is very fine with the forend checkering having been
recut and a few minor scratches. The extra 20 gauge barrels have a dented vent rib. The case is very fine. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 7,000 - 10,000

Factory Engraved Belgian Browning 20 Gauge Superposed Shotgun with Case - Serial no. 35265V5, 20 gauge, 26 1/2 inch vent rib bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1965. Blued special steel barrels with single brass bead sight on the matted vent rib, standard markings,
chokes marked “**-”/”**” (improved cylinder/modified), 3 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, and lower barrel import marked. The blued action features Grade I floral scroll engraving, a single gold trigger, and tang mounted safety/selector switch. Fitted with multi-point checkered forend and round knot pistol grip stock with a factory buttplate. Includes factory Naugahyde takedown case. Stock measurements: 1 7/16 inch drop at comb; 2 3/16 inch drop at heel; 13 7/8 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 9 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 98% of original blue finish with minor handling marks, some minor wear ahead of the forend and on the trigger guard, and crisp stock checkering. Mechanically excellent. The case
is very fine.

  LOT 3487 Belgium Browning Superposed Lightning 20 Gauge Over/Under Shotgun - Serial no. 3673V73, 20 gauge, 26 3/8 inch vent rib bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1973. Blued Special Steel barrels with a single steel bead sight, improved/modified cylinder chokes, and 3 inch chambers with ejectors, and lower barrel import marked. The receiver and trigger guard have the standard floral scroll engraving pattern. Fitted with a single gold wash trigger and tang mounted safety/selector along with lightly figured, multi-point checkered walnut forearm and a pistol grip stock with a plastic factory buttplate.
