Winchester Model 21 Double Barrel Skeet Shotgun Two Barrel Set with Case - Serial no. 30578, 12 gauge, 26 inch solid rib bbl., blue finish, fancy checkered walnut stock. Blued Winchester Proof steel barrels with a dual white bead sights on the matted concave solid rib which is marked “CUSTOM BUILT BY WINCHESTER”, chokes marked “SK-1”/”SK-2”, and chambers marked 2 3/4 inches with automatic ejectors.
The blued action is unadorned and features a single selective trigger and a tang mounted automatic safety switch. Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered beavertail forend and straight grip stock with checkered bare butt. Includes a
second matching set of 28 inch 12 gauge barrels
with 2 3/4 inch chambers and chokes marked “MOD”/”FULL”. Also included is a pair of nickel snap caps, cleaning tools, and an oak & leather takedown case that houses the set marked “E.A.L.” on the lid.
Barrel measurements for the extra set (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .729/.728 inches; choke constriction .012/.030 inches; minimum wall thickness .032\/.033 inches. Barrel and stock measurements (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .732/.732 inches; choke constriction .008(jug)/.015 inches; minimum wall thickness .031/.029 inches; 1 3/8 inch drop at comb; 2 1/2 inch drop at heel; 14 3/16 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs. 4 oz.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 99% factory refurbished blue finish with minor handling evidence, areas showing dried grease from apparent storage and little use, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. The case is fine with a broken handle. The extra barrel set is also excellent with the same grease. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 4,500 - 7,000

Winchester 20 Gauge Model 21 Double Barrel Shotgun - Serial no. 26729, 20 gauge, 28 inch solid rib bbl., blue finish, checkered walnut stock. Blued Winchester Proof steel barrels with a single bead sight on the matted concave solid rib, chokes marked “MOD”/”FULL”, and chambers marked 3 inches with automatic ejectors. The blued action is unadorned and features a single selective trigger and a tang mounted manual safety switch. Attractively figured,
multi-point checkered beavertail forend and pistol grip stock with non-factory added Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad. Barrel and stock measurements (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .616/.616 inches; choke constriction .010/.024 inches; minimum wall thickness .020/.024 inches; 1 9/16 inch drop at comb; 2 3/8 inch drop at heel; 13 7/8 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 13 oz. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 90% original blue finish with much of the loss on the underside of the action, recut gauge marking, some rubbing at the left breech, light handling marks, some scratches in the wood, and sharp checkering in the stock and forend. receiver extension. The blued receiver is magnificently adorned with elaborate deep relief cut scroll engraving over a matted background surrounding a precious metal inlaid game scene on either side. The left has a silver pointer flushing a pair of golden pheasants in a wooded scene, and the right has a silver fox flushing a pair of gold mallards, all cut in very impressive detail. Though the work appears to be unsigned, it was clearly performed by the hands of a master of the craft.
Attractively figured, multi-point figured forend and pistol grip stock with factory grip cap and recoil pad. Stock measurements: 1 9/16 inch drop at comb; 2 1/8 inch drop at heel; 14 7/16 inch length of pull; weight 8 lbs. 8 oz.
CONDITION: Very fine as elaborately custom embellished, retaining 99% blue, silver, and gold finishes with minor handling evidence and sharp checkering on the refinished stock and forend. Mechanically excellent.

LOT 3510 Excellent Pre-World War II Winchester Model 42 Slide Action Shotgun - Serial no. 14301, 410 gauge, 26 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1934. Blued barrel with a single nickel bead sight, 3 inch chamber, choke marked full, and standard Winchester markings and “WP” proofs. Lightly figured 18-groove round forend and smooth pistol grip stock with factory buttplate. Measurements: length of pull 13 7/8 inches; weight 5 lbs. 12 oz. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 90% plus original blue finish with light handling evidence, light slide retraction wear, some very minor
spotting, and a few scattered deep scratches visible in the otherwise very fine wood. Mechanically excellent.
