Exceptional Mike Dubber Signed and Engraved Sharps-Borchardt Model 1878 Single Shot Falling Block Sporting Rifle - Serial no. 16400, 45-70 Government cal., 26
inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, deluxe walnut stock. Fitted with large white bead blade front and segmented notch leaf rear sights, with graduations for 100, 200, and 300
yards. Barrel is marked “OLD RELIABLE” on top of the quarter rib and “CAL. 45-2/10” on the left side. Master engraved by Mike Dubber and signed “M.W. Dubber” on the underside of receiver ahead of the trigger, with 70% floral scroll coverage. Fitted with finely figured checkered walnut forend and semi pistol grip buttstock with Pachmayr rubber recoil pad. CONDITION: Very fine overall as master engraved by Mike Dubber and refurbished, with 99% plus of the blue and casehardened finishes retained with some minor handling marks mostly on the wood and sharp forend and stock checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 5,000 - 8,000

Mike Yazel Signed and Engraved Custom Sharps-Borchardt Model 1878 Falling Block Sporting Rifle with Scope and Case - Serial no. 19761, 35 WHELEN cal., 22 3/4 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. This rifle was custom built by well-known gunsmith Richard “Dick” Binger of Stott’s Creek Armory in Morgantown, Indiana, and beautifully engraved by talented artist Mike Yazel of Mentone, Indiana, in 2021. It features a ramped, beaded blade front sight, Leupold M8-4x scope, matted rib, “SIMPSON & CO. SUHL/WAFFENFABRIKEN” on top of the barrel, “FLUSS-STAHL KRUPP-ESSEN” marked on the right, and “35 WHELEN” on the left along with the matching serial number underneath. The receiver features the serial number on the left side and the patent date, and the lever has “UFT” on the left and the matching partial serial number “761” on the back. The rifle features scroll engraving on the scope rings, action, and cartridge trap along with a detailed scene “galloping bull moose” game
scene on the left side of the frame and a “sportsman taking an elk” game scene on the right. The receiver on the bottom face to the left of the loading lever is signed “M. YAZEL 21.” The rifle is fitted with a checkered Mannlicher style forend with a dark horn Schnabel tip and sling swivel, and the buttstock stock features a checkered pistol grip,
dark end cap, integrated four round cartridge compartment on the bottom with sprung cover, and brown Pachmayr “PRESENTATION MODEL” rubber buttpad. Included is a black vintage case, a 20-round box of 250 grain Griffin & Howe Inc. .35 Whelen ammunition, segmented brass cleaning rods, and reloading tool. CONDITION: Very fine as professionally custom built and embellished, retaining 99% plus of the blue and casehardened finishes with some minor handling marks mostly on the wood, and crisp forend and stock checkering. Case is very good. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 4,000 - 7,500

Attractive Panel Scene Engraved Sharps-Borchardt Model 1878 Mid-Range Rifle - Serial no. 8925, 40 cal., 28 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, deluxe checkered walnut stock. Fitted with custom replacement Overbaugh barrel, with checkered top and beech combination folding front sight post. It also features an unmarked folding ladder rear peep sight fitted to a integral mount on the receiver tang. The receiver is embellished with floral scroll, and an elk game panel scene on both sides. Includes checkered walnut forend with contrasting tip and checkered semi pistol grip stock with hard rubber pommel and nickel plated crescent buttplate.
