The putti/cherubs on the barrels match while those on the lock and furniture are also slightly different and mainly have weapons. The locks are marked “LePage Moutier” and feature different scenes: on the first a putto/cherub is forging a sword, and on the second one is preparing a helm. The stocks have raised relief scrollwork at the forend tips, inlaid gold scroll patterns, fluted wrists, and appear to be ebony. CONDITION: Very fine with bright original gold throughout, gray and brown patina
in the backgrounds, moderate oxidation throughout, distinct designs, and mostly age and storage related wear. The stock is also very fine and has crisp carving, some slivers of gold wire absent, and a few scuffs and scratches. The lock isn’t holding half- cock but is otherwise mechanically fine.
