Exceptional Double Signed Factory Engraved Belgian Browning Olympian Grade
Bolt Action Rifle in Desirable .458 Winchester Mag - Serial no. 7P44289, 458 Win Mag cal., 24 inch round bbl.,
blue/satin finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in Belgium in 1967, this rifle features a hooded ramp front sight and
adjustable rear folding sight. The barrel is blue and the remaining parts are satin grey with a gold washed trigger and jeweled extractor. The front receiver ring is engraved with a rhinoceros in tall grass on the right side, an elephant in a wooded jungle scene on the left, and the remainder of the action is scroll leaf and punch dot engraving. The hinged floorplate is engraved with a cape buffalo in a plains scene with floral scroll engraving below and on the attaching metal and is signed “R.DEWIL”. The trigger guard is engraved with a lion’s head amid tall grass and signed “LL”. The stock is extra fancy select walnut with a high gloss finish, fine line checkering and hand carved scrollwork on the forearm and grip area, contrasting forend and grip cap with a diamond shaped brass insert, raised comb, cheek piece, rubber vented Browning recoil pad and sling swivel studs.
CONDITION: Excellent plus, with 99% of the original blue finish, showing some minor handling marks overall. Some light storage grease is present around the bolt, which is otherwise bright. The stock is also excellent with a few light scuffs in the varnish, crisp checkering, sharp carving and attractive grain. Mechanically excellent.

     engraved with a white-tailed deer in dense vegetation. The trigger guard features a bear surrounded by floral scroll. The rifle is signed “VANDERSMISSENG” on the right and left of the receiver ring, “A. MARECHAL” on the floor plate and “DR” on the trigger guard. Mounted in an exceptionally well-figured pistol grip stock with fine checkering, floral carved accented borders, contrasting rosewood forend tip and grip cap, gold diamond on the grip cap, raised cheekpiece, and solid Pachmayr White Line recoil pad. CONDITION: Excellent retains 99% plus of the original blue and grey finishes with a few scattered small patches of light brown speckling on the bolt handle and cocking piece. The wood is also excellent with only the slightest handling marks, crisp checkering/carving, and retaining nearly all of the varnish.
