Factory Master Giuseppe Zacchi Signed and Game Scene Engraved Perazzi SCO/C Over/Under Shotgun Two Barrel Set with Case - Serial no. 126864, 12 gauge, 29 1/2 inch vent rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Blued steel barrels with single white bead sight
on the matted vent rib, standard Perazzi markings, Italian proofs dating to 2003, light engraving around the upper breech, interchangeable
chokes (skeet/skeet installed), and 70 mm (2 3/4 inch) chambers with automatic ejectors. The coin finished sideplated action displays
absolutely beautiful floral scroll engraving with interspersed floral bouquets set against a blackened background which surrounds three
fantastic, highly detailed game scenes. The left side shows a flock of mallards in flight over a marsh scene, the right side displays five grouse
in flight over a field, and the underside has a pointer with grouse in his mouth. The engraving extends to the toplever, both tangs, and the
triggerguard. Trigger plate is signed “ZACCHI” for Perazzi Master Engraver Giuseppe Zacchi. The gun features a single gold trigger and tang
mounted safety switch with gold inlaid “S”. Beautiful, highly figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings, including the Deeley
latch release and pistol grip stock with black rubber recoil pad. Includes an extra set of 20 gauge barrels numbered “126865” and measuring 30 3/4 inches with 2
3/4 inch chambers and interchangeable chokes (.001/.001 installed). Also includes a Perazzi takedown case, stock removal tool, six extra 20 gauge chokes, and 4 extra 12 gauge chokes. Barrel measurements for the 20 gauge set (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech both proved at 15.9mm (.626 inches) and measured .627/.629 inches; minimum wall thickness .037/.036 inches. Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech both proved at 18.4mm (.724 inches) and measured .725/.727 inches; minimum wall thickness .037/.034 inches; 1 3/8 inch drop at comb; 2 3/16 inch drop at heel; 14 3/4 inch length of pull; cast-off; weight 7 lbs. 13 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and coin finishes with limited handling evidence and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. The extra barrel set is excellent and the case is very good. Mechanically excellent.
