Sensational Game Bird Themed Master Giovanni Steduto of Creative Art Signed, Engraved, and Gold Inlaid Connecticut Shotgun Manufacturing 28
Gauge A. H. Fox Boxlock Double Barrel Ejector Shotgun with Carved and Gold Inlaid Stock - Serial no. F205984, 28 gauge, 30 inch solid rib bbl., blue/coin/gold finish, walnut stock. This is a truly exceptional example of what can be accomplished by the hands of a master engraver. Italian Master Engraver Giovanni Steduto of Creative Art has pulled out all of the stops on this piece using high contrast and photo-realism to create this one-of-a-kind piece of firearms art. The blued steel barrels have a single white bead sight on the matted concave solid rib, chambers marked 2 3/4 inches with automatic ejectors, gold inlaid markings reading “”KRUPP - FLUID - STEEL” and
“MADE TO ORDER A.H. FOX” on the left and right respectively, and beautiful gold intertwining gold wire inlaid wedges and a single gold band at
either breech. The bolstered coin finished action has been gold washed creating an exceptional backdrop for the engraving to be carried out on. The engraving consists of outstanding photo-realistic game bird scenes surrounded by beautiful scrolling foliage. Starting with the left side, there is a Gambel’s quail front an center flanked by a chukar to the left and a ruffed grouse to the right, both of which are shown in flight. The underside of the action shows a trio of game birds, one bobwhite quail in flight just ahead of the triggerguard, a second just behind that much larger and shown as a bust, and a ruffed grouse in flight being flushed by a Labrador. The right side shows a roosting pheasant, a flying ruffed grouse, and a woodcock. The top of the action display a quail and a rooster pheasant with a flying chukar on the toplever and ruffed grouse on the top tang. The triggerguard shows a rooster pheasant with a flowing tail surrounded by a woodcock and Gambel’s quail and a woodcock and chukar in flight on the lower tang. These bird are all cut through the gold wash making them pop against the contrasting surface, making this a truly eye catching piece that will surely grab the attention of anyone that enters the room. The triggerplate is signed “G. Steduto Creative Art” in small script to the right of the triggerguard.
