Magnificent Early Rare Factory Engraved Perazzi & Fabbri Lusso Model Sidelock Over/Under Ejector Shotgun Two Barrel Set with Case - Serial no. 5147, 12 gauge, 27 5/8 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1964, early in Perazzi’s history, and during the partnership between Daniele Perazzi and Ivo Fabbri. Guns built during this
partnership, such as this one, are very desirable as it was short lived before Fabbri left to create some of the world’s finest guns with his own company. Blued Phoenix Demibloc steel barrels with dual bead sights on the matted flat solid rib, “PERAZZI & FABBRI - BRESCIA” marked on the left of the upper barrel, 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, and floral engraving at either
side of the breech. The casehardened sidelock action shows gorgeous deep cut broad leaf designs on the fences and running down and around the action to the lower horns of the stock head. The remaining portion of the action and locks display near
full coverage tight scroll engraving surrounding floral bouquets, with the addition of trailing ribbons flowing from the stems on either lockplate. The decoration extends to the engraved East Asian inspired dragon carved pierced toplever, both tangs, and the triggerguard. The gun features a single blued trigger and tang mounted manual safety switch with a gold inlaid “S”. Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered forend with matching engraved fittings and a round knob pistol grip stock with leather wrapped recoil pad. Includes an extra 1968 proofed matching numbered set of 27 7/8 inch barrels with matching engraving and 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. Also includes an aluminum Americase that houses both barrel sets. Barrel measurements for the extra set (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .728/.729 inches; choke constriction .014/.033 inches; minimum wall thickness .025/.027 inches. Barrel and stock measurements for the primary set (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .731/.729 inches; choke constriction .013/.033 inches; minimum wall thickness .027/.024 inches; 1 9/16 inch drop at
comb; 2 3/8 inch drop at heel; 14 1/2 inch length of pull; cast-off: weight 7 lbs 5 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% original blue (barrels) and casehardened finishes with some light wear below the forend, and limited handling evidence. The triggerguard is a mix of original blue and smooth grey. There is a tiny chip at the left of the forend shoe and a tiny crack at the rear of the attaching iron; otherwise, the wood is very fine with a few scattered handling marks and sharp checkering. The extra barrel set is excellent. Mechanically excellent. Do not miss out on this chance to own a piece of early Perazzi history!
