Factory Game Scene Engraved Gebruder Merkel Model 141.1 Double Rifle - Serial no. 552524, 30-06 cal., 21 5/8 inch solid rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. High visibility red blade front sight and fixed notch rear sight on the matted solid rib, 2006 dated German proofs, and flourishes of scroll engraving at either breech. The coin finished scalloped boxlock action displays scroll engraving surrounding a running deer on the right and a roaring red stag on the left along with the signature “MK”. The gun features bushed firing pins, double triggers, a tang
mounted automatic safety, and automatic ejectors. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with raised cheekpiece,
black polymer grip cap, and rubber Pachmayr recoil pad. Length of pull 14 3/8 inches. Weight 7 lbs 4 oz. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and coin finishes, limited minor handling evidence, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent.

CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 98% plus original blue and 99% original coin finishes, minor handling evidence and some minor oil discoloration on the action. There is high edge wear on the triggerguard. There are a couple of short stress cracks on the underside of the forend, otherwise the wood is fine with some scattered handling marks, and sharp checkering. The box is very good and the case is very fine. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 3,250 - 4,500

German proofs, flourishes of scroll at either breech, 3 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, and modified/full chokes. The scalloped casehardened action displays tasteful light scroll engraving and features bushed firing pins, a single trigger, and an automatic tang safety.
Nicely figured, multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with polymer grip cap and factory buttplate. Includes the original factory box. Stock measurements: 1 1/4 inch drop at comb; 2 1/2 inch drop at heel; 14 1/4 inch length of pull; weight 5 lbs 14 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and casehardened finishes, limited handling evidence, and sharp checkering on the wood. The box is excellent. Mechanically excellent.
