Excellent Winchester Model 42 Slide Action Shotgun with
Solid Rib - Serial no. 98284, 410 gauge, 26 inch solid rib bbl., blue finish, walnut
stock. Manufactured in 1951. Single steel bead sight on the matted solid rib, standard markings,
3 inch chamber, and choke marked full. Winchester “WP” proofs on the receiver. Plain straight grained
forend and pistol grip stock with multi-point checkering and Winchester hard rubber grip cap and buttplate.

Elaborate Paul Jaeger Signed Engraved and Gold Inlaid Winchester Model 12 Slide Action Shotgun -
Serial no. 1957262, 12 gauge, 30 inch vent rib bbl., blue/gold inish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1963 and subsequently masterfully embellished by the shop
of Paul Jaeger. Dual white bead sights on the matted wide Simmons trap vent rib, 2 3/4 inch chamber,
and choke marked “FULL”. The receiver displays beautifully executed broad floral scroll surrounding two high
pheasants in a wooded scene and four mallards in flight over a marsh on the right. The entire receiver is bordered with fine gold inlaid line borders breaking up the scenes and scroll panels along with “TRAP” inlaid in gold at the base of the rib and on the underside near the serial number. The gun is signed “PAUL JAEGER, INC./JENKINTOWN, P.A.” on the underside. Beautifully figured, fancy checkered and floral carved forend with engraved and gold inlaid magazine cap marked “WHITE/SD/FLYER” and Monte Carlo pistol grip stock with a rosewood grip cap, a pair of quail carved in the left side, and a Pachmayr White-Line recoil pad. Stock measurements: 1 5/16 inch drop at comb; 2 inch drop at heel; 14 3/8 inch length of pull; weight 8 lbs. 5 oz.
CONDITION: Very fine as elaborately master embellished by Paul Jaeger, retaining 98% plus blue and 99% gold finishes, minor handling evidence, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend.
