LOT 1378 Winchester 20 Gauge Model 21 Double Barrel Shotgun - Serial no. 32992, 20 gauge, 28 inch vent rib bbl., blue finish, highly figured walnut stock. Blued Winchester proof steel barrels with a single red bead sight on the matted vent rib, chokes marked “MOD”/”FULL”, and chambers marked 2 3/4 inches with automatic ejectors. The blued action is unadorned and features a single selective trigger and a tang mounted automatic safety switch. Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered beavertail forend and straight grip stock with checkered flats and checkered bare butt. Ordnance marks are present on the gun. Mounted with an 18-groove forend and replacement smooth pistol grip stock with “G/P/C” marked on the bottom
of the grip, possible for the Georgia Prison Commission and with a checkered hard rubber Winchester buttplate. Length of pull is 13 3/4 inches. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 80% original blue finish, scattered freckling though throughout, slide retraction wear, and a small chip at the toe of the

LOT 1380 Pre-World War II Winchester Model 42 Slide Action Shotgun - Serial no. 25260, 410 gauge, 28 inch solid rib bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1936. Single steel bead sight on the matted solid rib, standard markings, 3 inch chamber, and choke marked full. Winchester “WP” proofs on the barrel and receiver. Plain straight grained 18-groove forend and pistol grip stock with Winchester hard rubber buttplate. Stock measurements: 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 5/16 inch drop at heel; 13 15/16 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 3 oz. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 95% plus original blue with light spotting on the left of the receiver, minor slide retraction wear, and otherwise minor handling evidence. The wood is very fine with streaks of varnish absent on the comb of the buttstock, scattered light dings and scratches on the balance. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,250 - 3,500
