Excellent DWM 1913 Dated Model 1908 Military Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol with Unit Markings, Matching Magazine, and Holster - Serial no. 4473, 9 mm cal., 4 inch round bbl., blue finish, hardwood grips. Blade front and notch rear sights, with “1913” on the chamber, “DWM” on the front toggle link, , with the DWM monogram on the front toggle. Three “crown/letter” proofs are present on the right of the extension, with Imperial
eagle firing proofs on
the extension, barrel
and breechblock. This
early model pistol
was manufactured
without a stock lug or a
hold-open, and has not been
retrofitted to accept the latter. The frontstrap is marked “B.3.A.F.II.4.M.6.”,
indicating issue to the 3rd Royal Bavarian Foot Artillery, a component unit of the 3rd Royal Bavarian
Army Corps at the start of World War One. Arranged under the German 6th Army, the 3rd Corps fought chiefly on the Western Front. Fitted with straw and niter blue finished small parts, checkered grips, and a nickel finished magazine with a hardwood base. Numbers are matching overall, including on the grips and magazine base. With a brown leather flap holster dated “1915” via ink stamp on the interior and a small takedown tool.
CONDITION: Excellent, with 95% plus original blue finish, showing some light spotting and handling marks overall. 70% of the bright original straw color is present on the small parts, and the grips show some minor dings and dark spots. The holster is very fine, with mild scuffing overall and a bit of cracking at the flap hinge. Mechanically excellent.

DWM Model 1902 American Eagle
Commercial 9mm “Fat Barrel”
Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol - Serial no. 22677, 9 mm cal., 4
inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Fixed sights, with the
American Eagle on the chamber, “DWM” on the front toggle link, and
the following early Luger features: dished toggles with toggle lock
on the right side, recessed breechblock, “fat” profile 9mm barrel, flat recoil spring,
grip safety and no stock lug. The small parts are straw finished, with a pair of finely checkered grips and a nickel finished magazine with a hardwood base correctly marked “Cal 9m/m”. Parts are matching overall in the “commercial” pattern. The front of the frame is marked “GERMANY”, appropriate to an import of the era.
CONDITION: Very fine, with 80% of the original blue finish, showing some bright edge wear, mild spotting and areas of brown patina concentrated on the gripstraps, and mild handling marks overall. The number “57” has been applied to the underside of the frame
in black marker, with a faded but still legible “57” in faded red marker on the
magazine body. The trigger
and other parts retain
60% of the original
straw color, with the
remainder having
turned a mixed gray,
and similar aging on the
niter blue components. The
grips are also very fine, with some light dings. Mechanically excellent.

Excellent DWM 1915 Dated Model 1914 Artillery Luger Semi-
Automatic Pistol - Serial no. 7126, 9 mm cal., 8 inch round bbl., blue
finish, walnut grips. Fine adjustable blade front and tangent notch
rear sights, with the “1915” date on top of the chamber, “DWM” toggle
link, Imperial proofs on the barrel, receiver and breechblock, and matching numbers
on multiple parts, including the sight components, toggle assembly, and hold open; the magazine and grips are unnumbered. Fine straw color is present on the trigger, takedown lever and safety, with niter blue on the screws, pins and sear spring, checkered grips and bright polished magazine with wood base.
CONDITION: Excellent, with 95% plus of the original blue finish, showing wear along the high edges and mild handling marks overall. 75% of the original straw colors are present, with a smooth gray patina on the remainder, with similar amounts of niter blue. The grips are slightly undersized on the leading edge but otherwise very fine, with some minor stains and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Blade front and

chamber and “DWM”
monogram on the toggle link. Three “crown/
letter” proofs are present on the right side of the barrel extension with “Imperial
Eagle” firing proofs on the extension, barrel and breechblock, and the proper “GESICHERT” and “GELADEN” markings are present on the upper safety position and extractor respectively. The overall finish is blue, with straw colored small parts, niter blue pins and springs, and checkered grips. Minus the magazine (mixed) and grips (blank), numbers are matching overall. With a brown leather flap holster with a 1917 dated maker’s mark stamped inside the flap, a takedown tool, and a wood-handled bore rod.
CONDITION: Very fine, with 85% of the original blue finish, showing areas of brown patina, bright edge wear, and scattered handling marks and spotting overall. The small parts show 80% of the bright original straw and niter blue finish. Grips are excellent, with a few dings and dark spots on the otherwise crisp checkering. The holster
is good, with mild scuffs and cuts overall, a few areas of repaired stitching, and heavier wear on the bore rod pouch. Mechanically excellent.
