CONDITION: Excellent
overall, retaining 97% plus
original blue finish and case colors with scattered scratches, a light cylinder drag line, and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. Box is fine with a split lid corner and limited storage and handling marks.

Engraved and Gold Inlaid Colt Third
Generation Single Action Army
Revolver - Serial no. SA44010, 45 Long Colt cal.,
5 1/2 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish,
plastic grips. Manufactured in 1980 with standard
markings. The barrel features two gold bands inlaid at
the muzzle and breech with the breech bands extending onto the
ejector housing. Sprays of floral scroll engraving extend out from the
gold bands with the muzzle end coming up just past the ejector
housing and the breech end coming out to the end of the barrel
legend. The cylinder is engraved and inlaid to match with two gold bands at the rear, floral scroll between the flutes, and bursts coming off the rear of the flutes. CONDITION: Very fine overall as embellished, retaining 99% plus blue finish and case colors with limited handling marks and crisp engraving. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,000 - 3,500
lines between the cylinder stops and floral scroll between the flutes. The triggerguard and backstrap feature floral scroll engraving with gold inlaid scroll at the heel. CONDITION: Very fine overall as embellished, retaining 99% blue finish and case colors with limited handling marks and a faint cylinder drag line. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,000 - 3,500

Colt Third Generation Single Action
Army Revolver - Serial no. SA30040,
44 special cal., 5 1/2 inch round bbl., blue/
casehardened finish, stag grips. Manufactured in
1979 and subsequently engraved and gold inlaid.
Featuring standard markings as well as gold inlaid rings at either
end of the barrel and sprays of floral scroll engraving coming off
the bands. The cylinder is engraved to match with two gold bands
at the rear with light floral motifs in between and light floral scroll
between the flutes. The frame, triggerguard, and backstrap all feature near
full coverage floral scroll, geometric, and wavy line motifs. The bottom of the barrel is signed “RY” for an unknown engraver. Fitted with a set of stag grips carved with a bald eagle with its mouth closed on the left and a screaming eagle on the right. CONDITION: very fine as professionally embellished, retaining 99% plus blue finish and case colors with minimal handling marks and crisp engraving. Mechanically needs adjustment as the second “click” is not audible, but the hammer will catch the notch; otherwise mechanically excellent.

45 Long Colt cal., 5 /2 inch round bbl., blue/
casehardened finish, plastic grips. Manufactured
in 1980. Features two gold bands at either end of
the barrel with the rear two extending onto the ejector rod housing. The barrel and ejector rod housing display floral scroll engraving
on a punch dot background and wavy line motifs. The cylinder is engraved to match with two gold bands at the rear, intertwining

engraving which extends
onto the front sight. The
right side of the frame
has a “Z” stamped near
the forward most frame screw indicating this revolver was sold as a factory second. Fitted with a pair of scrimshaw grips depicting a wolf head on either side. Includes original shipping box with factory end label listing the current configuration except with wood grips and a Colt Custom Shop blue box.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish and case colors with limited handling marks and crisp engraving. Mechanically excellent. Shipping box is very good with tape repairs on the label end. Blue box is excellent.
