Exquisite Leonard Francolini and Denise Thirion Signed, Master Engraved, and Gold Inlaid Colt Third Generation Single Action Army Revolver with Case - Serial no. S27506A, 45 Long Colt cal., 5 1/2 inch round bbl., blue finish, smooth grips. Manufactured in 1999 and subsequently embellished by Colt Master Engravers Leonard Francolini and Denise Thirion. The barrel features a triplet of gold inlaid bands at the muzzle and rear of the barrel with the rear trio extending onto the ejector rod housing, border on the front sight, as well as floral scroll engraving with interspersed rosebuds and a floral motif on top of the ejector rod housing. The cylinder, frame, hammer, and grip straps display similar motifs to the barrel with gold inlaid borders filled with floral scroll and lattice designs with another grouping of three bands at three rear of the cylinder. All of the markings on the gun are gold inlaid with the Rampant Colt on the frame being raised relief gold inlay.

with Factory Letter and Case - Serial
no. SA12303, 45 LC cal., 7 1/2 inch round
bbl., blue/casehardened/gold finish, smooth
grips. The included factory letter confirms the caliber
and barrel length when the revolver was shipped to
Northeast Gun & Supply Company D/B/A Ivanhoe Sports
Center of Needham, MA on March 12, 1979. The revolver
was subsequently upgraded by the hand of Master
Engraver Alvin A. White. The barrel shows wedges of scroll
over a punchdot background with gold bands at the muzzle and breech, scroll continuing onto the frame, grip straps, and cylinder which also shows a gold band. The back strap is signed “A.A.W.” under the grip. Includes a hardwood display case with nickel oilers and a cleaning rod. CONDITION: Very fine as embellished by Master Engraver Alvin White, retaining 99% blue, casehardened, and gold finishes with only limited handling evidence and slight age cracks at the grip screws. The case is very fine. Mechanically excellent.
