London Retailer Inscribed and Cased Colt Etched Panel New Line .41 Spur Trigger Revolver - Serial no. 7919, 41 CF cal., 2 1/4 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut grips. Manufactured
1877 with standard
markings, including
the “COLT NEW 41”
in an etched panel
on the left of the
barrel and British proofs on the bottom of the barrel and cylinder. The right of the barrel is engraved with “COGSWELL & HARRISON/142 NEW BOND St LONDON”. Matching numbers are present on the left of the grip frame, bottom of the barrel, and
rear face of the cylinder. It has standard features.
Includes a hardwood case with Cogswell & Harrison
interior label, oiler, two cleaning rod/screwdriver
combination tools, key, and five .41 CF cartridges.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 90% plus of the
original blue finish and 80% plus of the vibrant
original case colors with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina. The grips are very good with a few scattered light handling marks, a series of minor dings on the butt of the left, and retaining most of the varnish. Mechanically excellent. The case is excellent with minimal handling/storage wear.

London Agency Shipped and Cased, Engraved Colt No.
1 Derringer - Serial no. 2224, 41 RF cal., 2 1/2 inch irregular bbl., blue/casehardened finish, metal grips. Manufactured circa 1870-1890. Blade front and hammer notch rear sights, with the top of the barrel marked “COLT’S PT.F.A. MFG. Co/HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.” followed by “ No1” flanked by Maltese crosses
and the matching
serial number on
the underside. Light
scroll engraving on the sides of the frame with a burst design
and scrollwork behind. The underside of the barrel bears a set of tiny “crown/GP” and “crown/V” stamps, with a small “C” present on the underside of the frame just ahead of the trigger, which is associated with the Colt London Agency. Includes an oak case with Colt London Agency interior label, key, and four .41 RF cartridges.
CONDITION: Very good, retains 30% of the original blue finish and traces of the original silver plating with the balance primarily a smooth grey patina and crisp engraving. Mechanically excellent. The case is very fine with minimal handling/storage evidence.

London Agency Shipped and Cased Colt Etched Panel New Line .32 Spur Trigger Revolver with Pearl Grips - Serial no. 11855,
32 RF cal., 2 1/4 inch round bbl., nickel finish,
pearl grips. Manufactured in 1880. The top of the barrel has the two-line address, the left side has the etched panel marked “COLT NEW 32”, and the bottom has British proofs, the serial number, and the patent date. The cylinder is also marked with British proofs. It has standard features as well as
a pair of smooth pearl grips. Includes an oak case featuring an interesting grain structure and a Colt London Agency interior label, cleaning rod, and ten .32 RF cartridges.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 70% plus of the
much polished original nickel finish with some
scattered light flaking a few scattered patches of very light surface pitting. The grips are very fine with some scattered light handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The case is very fine with minimal handling/storage evidence.

Cased Colt New Line .22 Acid
Etched Panel Spur Trigger Revolver
with Very Scarce 2 3/4 Inch Barrel
- Serial no. 41266, 22 RF cal., 2 3/4
inch slab sided bbl., nickel finish, hard
rubber grips. Manufactured in 1876 as
a Second Model. The left side of the
rare 2 3/4 inch barrel has the desirable
acid etched panel marked “COLT
NEW 22”, the top marked with the
two-line address, the patent date on
the bottom, and the matching serial
number on the butt, rear of the cylinder
and barrel (41). It is fitted with a pair of checkered hard rubber grips. Includes a
leatherette wrapped hard case, cleaning rod, and several .22 RF cartridges.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 80% plus of the original nickel finish with some minor
flaking, mostly on the cylinder, revealing a smooth grey patina and some scattered very light pitting. The grips are also very fine with minimal handling evidence and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The case is fine with some scattered minor handling/storage marks.

Very Fine London Agency Cased Colt Third Model
“Thuer” Derringer with Unique Circled Rampant
Colt Trademark - Serial no. 11584, 41 RF cal., 2 1/2 inch
round bbl., nickel finish, hardwood grips. Manufactured
beginning in 1870, approximately 48,000 of these Colt
Third Model, or “Thuer”, derringers were produced by
1912. This example has the standard “-COLT-” in italics on
top of the barrel and caliber marking on the left of the
frame in addition to a circled Rampant Colt trademark
that the writer has never seen on a Third Model derringer
before. This marking may have been applied by the
retailer for marketing purposes. The serial number is
marked on the left side of the grip frame. It is fitted with
a blade front sight and a pair of smooth hardwood grips.
Includes an oak presentation case with Colt London Agency label attached inside the lid as well as seven .41 RF cartridges in the block, cleaning rod, and a key for the case.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 85% plus of the original nickel finish with the balance having thinned to either a smooth grey patina or an attractively aged brass. The grips are also fine with some scattered minor dings and scratches, and retaining most of the varnish. Mechanically excellent. The case is very fine with some light handling/storage wear.
