    LOT 3350
U.S. Inland/RIA M2 Carbine, Class III/NFA C&R Fully Transferable Machine Gun,
with Accessories - Serial no. 7531708, 30 M1 Carbine cal., 18 inch round bbl., parkerized finish,
walnut stock. Originally manufactured in the first half of 1945 by the Inland Division of General Motors, it was
completely rebuilt/refurbished at a later date by Rock Island Armory of Geneseo, Illinois. An evolution of the M1 Carbine, the
M2 was intended to give America’s “second line” soldiers a boost in firepower without excessively disrupting the logistics train or manual
of arms. Essentially a “drop in” assembly, the auto-fire components of the M2 could be swapped in or out as needed; many M2s started
life as M1s, with several being converted and remarked before even leaving the factory (and later the factories leaving the “1” or “2” off to the very end of manufacture, so they could make the call
based on the need at the time). Most factory/arsenal marked M2s were either destroyed at the end of their service life or gifted to foreign nations, leaving few on the American commercial market. Blade front
and “PI” marked adjustable rear sight, with an “AI” bayonet lug, round bolt, “S” operating rod, unmarked milled trigger guard, unmarked hammer, “E.I.” switch safety and unmarked M2 magazine catch. The stock is the
“perch belly” style cut to accept the selector switch, with an “IO” marked 4-rivet handguard, an “HI” marked buttstock, green canvas sling and a checkered steel buttplate. Also included with the lot is a plain brown shipping box, six extra magazines, three “jungle clip” magazine binders and a brown leather sling.
CONDITION: Very fine as remanufactured/restored, with 99% of the parkerized finish, showing some takedown lines on the sides of the barrel and mild handling marks. The lightly sanded, reoiled stock is very fine, with a few dings and scuffs. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) that is classified as a “Curios or Relic” as defined in 27 CFR, 478.11. These weapons are still subject to the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478.
Provenance: The Al Walker Collection.
Estimate: 9,500 - 16,000

Accessories - Serial no. 20511, 45 ACP cal., 10 inch round bbl., blue finish, hardwood
stock. A closed-bolt blowback-operated submachine gun, the Reising Model 50 saw
action with the U.S. Marines in the Pacific as a substitute for the M1 Thompson, though they found their best
success as defensive weapons for war-essential industries and as patrol carbines for American police forces. Blade front and
elevation adjustable peep rear sights, with a flash hider/muzzle break, cooling fins on the barrel, three-line Worcester address
near the ejection port, and three-position selector/safety on the right side. Smooth pistol grip stock with a cocking lever on the
underside and a lightly ribbed buttplate. Included with the SMG are three extra magazines, two vintage boxes of 45 ACP ammo,
two transport cases with Federal Laboratories labels, and three manuals (two in English, one in Spanish).

on the receiver and mild edge wear. The refinished stock is fine, with a few light dings and scratches. The fine cases show mild
to moderate exterior wear. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3,
