Exceptional Factory Master Engraved and Triple Signed Belgian Browning Olympian Grade High Power Bolt Action Rifle - Serial no. 30233, 30-06 Springfield cal., 22 inch round bbl., blue/grey finish, walnut stock. Manufactured c. 1959-1962. Standard barrel markings and Belgian proofs. The attractively grayed receiver body features fine floral and scroll engraving on a darkened background with a bugling elk on the left of the front ring and
      scroll engraving on either side of the breech. The coin finished action displays beautiful floral scroll engraving as well as a two game scenes on the receiver ring. The left side shows a bull elephant in a jungle setting and the right a rhinoceros in a savanna scene. The bottom metal shows the same floral scroll engraving with a charging cape buffalo bull engraved on
the magazine floorplate and a male lion on the triggerguard. The gun is signed “J.BAERTEN” on the right side of the receiver ring, “R.DEWIL” on the floorplate, and “AM” on the triggerguard for Browning Master Engravers Jose Baerten, Rene Dewil, and Alfonse Merchal. The gun is mounted in a beautifully figured, fancy oak leaf carved border checkered walnut stock with rosewood forend tip, blued steel grip cap, shadowline cheekpiece, and solid red rubber recoil pad. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% plus original blue and coin finishes with limited handling evidence. Stock is fine with two long stress lines at the receiver tang, limited handling evidence, and sharp checkering and carving on the stock. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 9,500 - 14,000

a pronghorn on the right. The floorplate is engraved with a white-tailed deer in dense vegetation. The trigger guard features a bear surrounded by floral scroll. The rifle is signed “SPIEGEL” on the left of the receiver ring, “LEGIEA” on the floor plate and “DR” on the trigger guard, likely for Denise Richelle. Mounted in an exceptionally well-figured pistol grip stock with fine checkering,
floral carved accented borders, contrasting rosewood forend and grip caps, gold diamond on the grip cap, raised cheekpiece, and Browning hard rubber butt plate. CONDITION: Excellent, retains 99% plus of the original blue and grey finishes with some very slight speckling of brown patina on the cocking piece and bolt handle, and crisp engraving. The wood is also excellent with only the slightest handling marks, crisp checkering, and retaining 99% plus of the original varnish. Mechanically excellent.
