Master Engraved and Double Signed Belgian Browning Diana Grade
Superposed Shotgun - Serial no. 32238, 12 gauge, 30 inch vent rib bbl.
, blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1952. Blued Special Steel barrels with dual steel bead sights on the matted vent
rib, standard Browning markings, single band of engraving at the upper breech, chokes marked
“*_”/”*” (improved modified/full), and 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The coin grey
receiver is engraved in the Diana Grade pattern with flowing scroll designs surrounding four
game scenes depicting mallards in a marsh on the right, a covey of pheasant in a wooded scene
on the left, a pair of quail on the underside, and a pair of rabbits on the trigger guard. The receiver
is signed “F. Funken” on both sides beneath the game scenes for Browning Master Engraver Felix
Funken. Single gold washed trigger and tang mounted safety/selector switch with gold “S”, “O”,
and “U”. Mounted on a nicely contrasted multipoint checkered walnut forend and pistol grip stock with ventilated White Line recoil pad.
Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bores nine inches from the breech measured at .723/.724 inches; choke constriction .021/.036 inches;
minimum wall thickness .045/.043 inches; 1 9/16 inch drop at comb; 1 11/16 inch drop at heel; 14 1/4 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs 13 oz. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% plus original blue and coin finishes with limited handling marks, and crisp engraving. Wood is very good with scattered dings and scratches, softened checkering, and most of the varnish remaining. Mechanically excellent.

inch vent rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1993. Dual white bead sights on the matte vent rib barrels with 3 inch chambers, automatic ejectors, standard markings, and chokes marked “.005/.011”. Coin action presenting D4 style engraving consisting of tight English scroll with string of pearls borders around oval shaped game scenes of a pointer retrieving a pheasant on either side and a Labrador bust on the bottom with a single pheasant on the triggerguard as well as an engraved toplever and selective safety with gold inlaid position markings. The triggerplate is signed “J.P. Bailly” for FN engraver Jean Pierre Bailly. Fitted in a wonderfully figured and beautifully contrasted multipoint checkered Schnabel tip forend and pistol grip stock with engraved fittings and Browning buttplate. Includes original box. Factory Engraved Belgian Browning Superposed Pigeon Grade 20 Gauge Shotgun - Serial no. 40847V6, 20
gauge, 28 inch vent rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1966. Single steel bead sight on the matte, vent rib barrels with 3 inch chambers with automatic ejectors and skeet chokes. Coin gray finished receiver with near full coverage scroll engraving surrounding scenes of pigeons in flight and relief carved oak leaf and acorn designs at
the top of the action. Both sides of the action are initialed “BA” at the rear. Gold washed trigger and tang
mounted safety/selector switch. Lightly figured, checkered forearm with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with Browning buttplate. Stock measurements: Drop at the comb 1 7/16 inches; drop at the heel 2 3/8 inches; length of pull 14 1/16 inches. Weight 6 lbs. 7 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% plus original blue and coin finishes with limited handling marks and crisp engraving. Stock is very fine with crisp checkering, some light crazing on the flats, and a spot of touch up varnish on the right side of the stock. Mechanically excellent.
