Eugene Koevenig Engraved Dakota Arms Model 10 Single Shot Rifle - Serial no. 0757, 7x57 mm cal., 27 3/8 inch round bbl., blue/gun metal grey finish, walnut stock. Blued steel barrel manufactured without sights and simply marked “7 X 57” and hosting the front scope base and scope ring which are both finished in a satin coin and display fine floral scroll engraving. The action and rear scope ring are finished in the same fashion and show extensive coverage floral scroll engraving extending to the tangs and lever. The underside of the action is signed “E. KOEVENIG/ENGRAVER” for Eugene Koevenig. Eugene Koevenig was a very well-respected artist and a charter member of the Firearms Engravers Guild of America (FEGA). Note the serial number “0757” corresponds to the caliber 7x57. Mounted in a beautifully figured, multi-point checkered forend and pistol grip stock with an engraved satin coin grip cap and black polymer buttplate. With certificate of ownership. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and gun metal grey finishes, sharp engraving, minimal handling evidence, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent.

Engraved Alexander Henry/Ed Mason Backaction Single Shot Falling Block
Rifle with Scope - NSN, 400-2 1/4 cal., 28 5/8 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened
finish, walnut stock. Originally manufactured by Alexander Henry and subsequently
upgraded to its current configuration by the late Memphis gunsmith Ed Mason. Blued steel barrel with
raise blade front sight, two scope blocks holding an unmarked vintage scope, two leaf (one standing, one folding) rear sight, and marked
“ED MASON - MEMPHIS”. The casehardened hammer backaction underlever falling block action by Alexander Henry displays beautiful near
full coverage floral scroll engraving with flowers at the centers on the clusters with the engraving extends to the tangs, triggerguard, and the underlever. Attractively figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with engraved and casehardened grip cap and buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine as built by Ed Mason, retaining 99% blue finish and 95% case colors finishes with minor handling evidence mostly on the stock. The optics are slightly hazy and show some spotting, but are overall very good. Mechanically excellent.
