CONDITION: Exceptionally fine with 80% plus of the bright original high polish blue finish on the barrel and cylinder, 95% plus of the original
bluish casehardened finish on the frame, 75% plus original case colors on the loading lever and hammer with brighter colors on the former and
some fading on the latter, 95% original silver plating with attractively aged patina on the trigger guard and back strap with some minor wear at
the edges, distinct markings and cylinder scene, all of the safety pins remaining and exhibiting minor wear, slight flaws at the upper front left and
upper rear left corners of the frame, and generally only minor overall age and handling related wear. The grip is fine and has some chips at the
toe and heel, mild edge wear, and some scratches and dings. Mechanically excellent. This is a rare opportunity to acquire a revolver from Samuel
Colt’s personal collection. While holding this revolver in your hands, you can easily imagine Colt holding it and examining it over 160 years ago!
