CONDITION: Extraordinarily fine with distinct
markings and engraving, 85% plus strong original
blue finish on the barrel thinning slightly on the
magazine and lever. 80% plus stunning original silver
on the frame and buttplate with attractive natural
aged patina on the exposed edges. 90% plus vibrant
original case colors on the hammer, and very delicate
overall collector type handling wear from age. The
stock is very fine with a professionally repaired
crack in the wrist, otherwise beautiful original
varnish, minor dings, and attractive grain and figure.
Mechanically excellent. This is truly an extraordinary
Henry rifle. You definitely will not see many Henry
rifles this fine, let alone with a rare original dust cover!
