Exceptional World War II U.S. International Business
Machines Corp. M1 Semi-Automatic Carbine - Serial no. 3927243, 30 Carbine cal., 18 inch round
bbl., parkerized/blue finish, walnut stock. From the only U.S. M1 carbine production block manufactured by
International Business Machines Corp., (serial number range from 3,651,520 to 4,009,999) produced from August 1943 to
May 1944. Features a “PO B” marked winged blade front and “S” and “TN” marked dual flip peep rear sights, “I.B.M. Corp.” barrel, type I barrel band, “AOB” type II
operating rod, “AOB” and “H” marked blued round-top bolt, along with a “BE-B” fabricated trigger housing with an “EP-B” push button safety, “EP B” type III magazine catch,
and “AMB” marked type III hammer. Fitted with a “SCB” marked two-rivet walnut handguard and a low-wood walnut stock marked with “SCB” in the sling inlet and an ordnance wheel on
the right side of the buttstock. Includes web sling and metal oiler. Magazine absent.
CONDITION: Exceptionally fine retaining 90% original parkerized and 70% plus original blue finishes with some light edge wear, light cycling wear, some light freckling on the buttplate and barrel band, smooth brown patina on the
balance of the barrel, and bright markings. The stock is very fine as re-oiled with some light handling marks and crisp stamps. Mechanically excellent.

Excellent World War II U.S. Remington Model 11 Semi-
Automatic Riot Shotgun - Serial no. 496516, 12 gauge, 20 inch round bbl., blue finish,
walnut stock. Offered here is an excellent original example of a World War II U.S. Remington Model 11 riot shotgun, with an “OMM” July
1943 date code and small anchor proof stamp on the left breech area of the matching numbered barrel. It features the 20 inch riot barrel, single
bead front sight, 2 3/4 inch chamber, choke marked cylinder, and “U.S.” ahead of flaming bomb proofs on both the barrel and receiver, and the receiver also has
the “MILITARY FINISH” marking. Matching serial numbers marked on the left of the receiver and bottom of the barrel beneath the forend. Fitted with a smooth forearm and pistol grip stock with crossed
cannons cartouche and “FJA” (Frank J. Atwood) inspection initials stamped on the left of the buttstock, and a Remington Bakelite serrated buttplate. Length of pull is 14 inches.
CONDITION: Excellent plus overall, nearly as issued, retains 99% original blue finish, with a few light handling marks, distinct edges in the wood, and absolutely crisp stamps on the left of the buttstock. Mechanically excellent. This
excellent World War II U.S. Remington Model 11 riot shotgun would be difficult to improve upon!

Outstanding U.S. Winchester Model 1917
Bolt Action Rifle, Documented as Formerly of the Winchester Factory Museum
Reference Collection, with Cody Letter - Serial no. 526479, 30-06 Springfield cal., 26 inch
round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1918, with a “12-18” dated barrel. This outstanding U.S.
Winchester Model 1917 rifle was formerly in the Winchester museum collection. It has an accompanying Cody letter, dated July 31, 1990, addressed
from Herbert G. Houze, curator of the Cody museum, to Mr. Peter Murray, that states, “This is to certify that the Winchester Model 1917, serial number
526479, sold as Lot 16 at the Cody Firearms Museum Auction of June 22, 1990, originally was part of the collection assembled by Edwin Pugsley, a senior
official of the Winchester Repeating Arms Company from 1915 to 1950. The inventory number for this piece while it was in Mr. Pugsley’s collection was P197. The Olin Corporation
purchased the bulk of Mr. Pugsley’s collection shortly after 1950 and incorporated it into their research collection. This piece was deaccessioned from the Winchester Arms Collection of the Cody
Firearms Museum under authorization granted on May 14, 1990.” The rifle is a late production Model 1917 with full Ordnance inspection marks. The barrel is marked “W/(flaming bomb)/12-18” behind the front sight. The receiver
has the “U.S./MODEL OF 1917/WINCHESTER” markings above the serial number. The left receiver rail is stamped on the top with two eagle’s head Ordnance inspection marks and on the side with the flaming bomb. The bolt is
stamped with the flaming bomb on the top of the handle and “W” and “NS” on the bottom. An “(eagle head)/504” inspection mark is stamped on the bottom of the stock ahead of the trigger housing and an “(eagle head)/522” is
stamped directly behind it. “W” Winchester mark on various components. Fitted with a regulation World War I type Kerr No-Buckl tan canvas sling.
CONDITION: Excellent plus, retains 98% plus original deep blue finish, with light cycling wear on the bolt, and sharp barrel and receiver markings. Stock is near mint, with rich oil finish and raised feathered grain, well-defined edges,
minimal handling evidence, sharp grasping grooves, and exceptionally crisp stamps. Mechanically excellent. A really top condition, as issued, U.S. Winchester Model 1917 rifle directly from the Winchester museum
reference collection!

Springfield Armory Model 1903 Bolt Action Rifle with
Ordnance Invoice - Serial no. 620743, 30-06 Springfield cal., 24
inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1916, this is an exceptional example
of a World War I era U.S. Springfield Armory Model 1903 bolt action rifle. Features fixed blade front and polished face folding ladder rear (with volley
notch) sights, “SA/(flaming bomb)12-15” marked barrel, straight handle bolt marked “I8” under the safety lug, and “H” marked bayonet lug. Fitted with a “high-
hump” profile walnut handguard and a “S” profile grasping groove walnut stock with single recoil bolt at the rear, circled “P” firing proof under the grip, boxed “J.S.A.”
inspection cartouche on the left side of the wrist, and checkered steel trapdoor buttplate. Includes a Kerr No-Buckl web sling, T.J Conroy branded brass muzzle/front sight and steel rear sight protectors,
and a February 5, 1917, dated “STATEMENT OF ORDNANCE STORES PURCHASED” invoice recording the sale of a serial unspecified M1903 rifle from the U.S. Ordnance Depot Harligen, Texas, to a Captain F.
W. Murray Jr. of the 69th New York Infantry Regiment for the stated reason of “my personal use in the military service.”.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 95% plus original blue and 97% original oil-quenched casehardened finishes with some light specks of freckling/spotting, minor cycling wear, some minor edge wear, a few areas with smooth
brown patina on the balance, along with clear and bright markings. The wood is also excellent with minor compression marks, sharp edges, crisp stamps, and attractive original raised and oiled grain. Mechanically excellent. Overall
an excellent example of an original World War I era U.S. Springfield Armory Model 1903 service rifle with a seldom encountered U.S. Ordnance sales invoice!
