Exceptional World War I Era U.S.
Eddystone Model 1917 Bolt Action Rifle - Serial no.
894922, 30-06 Springfield cal., 26 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in early 1918.
The U.S. Model 1917 was the service rifle most used by infantrymen of the American Expeditionary Force
(AEF) throughout World War I, and continued to see use up through World War II and beyond as a surplus arm, making
original unaltered examples with a high level of retained original finish a rarity today. Features fixed winged blade front and elevation
adjustable ladder peep rear sights, an “E/flaming bomb/8-18” marked barrel, standard receiver markings, “flaming bomb” and an “eagle head” proof on left
receiver wall, a “flaming bomb”, “J”, and “E” marked bolt, along with “E” marked cocking piece, striker, bolt stop, upper band, and some other small parts. Fitted with a pair
of walnut handguards and a finger grasping groove walnut stock stamped with “E” on the nose and “3Y/(eagle head)/625” behind the trigger guard tang. Includes an unmarked M1907
leather sling with steel hooks.
CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, retaining 85% plus original blue finish with some light edge wear on the buttplate, light cycling wear, light thinning with the balance smooth grey and brown patinas, some minor freckling,
along with clear and bright markings. The stock is also exceptionally fine with a few minor compression marks and scuffs, attractive raised grain, along with crisp gasping groves and stamps. Mechanically excellent. Overall an
exceptional example of an original World War I era U.S. Eddystone Model 1917 rifle!

Outstanding U.S. Springfield Armory Type 2 National Match M1 Garand
Semi-Automatic Rifle - Serial no. 5402437, 30-06 Springfield cal., 24 inch round bbl., parkerized finish, walnut
stock. Receiver manufactured c. 1954. Front sight is marked “NM/062”, rear marked “595” on the aperture hood, “NM” on the shank and windage knob,
“NM/2A” on the right side base, with “NM” marked barrel, gas cylinder, and operating rod. Springfield “3-63” dated barrel with “inverted T”, “PM” and “DoD eagle” markings,
matching partial numbers inside the floor plate and inside the stock barrel channel, Springfield bolt, safety, hammer and trigger housing, and “7790722-RA” operating rod. The stock is glass
bedded, with glued front handguard, Department of Defense stamp on the left side, circled “P” without serifs on the pistol grip, and checkered trapdoor buttplate.
CONDITION: Excellent plus, as issued, with 99% plus original parkerized finish remaining, scattered light handling marks, and a faint hint of edge wear visible on the charging handle. The stock is also excellent plus
with some small storage dings and crisp markings. Mechanically excellent. It would be difficult, if not impossible to improve on this example.

Springfield Armory Model 1903
Bolt Action Rifle - Serial no. 1137963, 30-06 Springfield cal., 24 inch round
bbl., parkerized/blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1919. Features fixed blade front and
polished face folding ladder rear (without volley notch) sights , “SA/(flaming bomb)10-19” marked barrel, straight handle bolt
marked with “III” under the safety lug, and “H” marked bayonet lug. Fitted with a “high-hump” profile walnut handguard and a “S” profile grasping groove walnut stock with dual recoil
bolts, circled “P” firing proof under the grip, boxed “W.J.S.” inspection cartouche on the left side of the wrist, and smooth steel trapdoor buttplate. Includes a “L-FCO/1918” marked M1907
leather sling with brass hooks.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 90% original parkerized and 85% original blue finishes with some minor edge wear, minor cycling wear, a few small areas of thinning with smooth grey and
brown patinas on the balance, some minor freckling, dried grease, and clear markings. The stock is also excellent with some minor compression marks, sharp edges, and attractive original
oiled and raised wood grain. Mechanically excellent. Overall an attractive example of an original 1919 production U.S. Springfield Armory M1903 service rifle!

World War II U.S. Inland Mfg. Div. M1A1 Semi-Automatic Paratrooper Carbine - Serial
no. 5057738, 30 Carbine cal., 18 inch round bbl., parkerized/blue finish, metal/hardwood stock.
Receiver manufactured in 1944, from the third production block (serial number range 4,879,526 to 5,557,990) manufactured by the Inland
Manufacturing Division of General Motors from January to August of 1944 as shown in the table on page 235 of “Comprehensive Guide to the M1
Carbine” (second edition, 2012 publication), and also within the known serial number range (approximately 4,950,000 to 6,650,000) of the second
production run of M1A1 paratrooper carbines, totaling roughly 70,000, manufactured from May 1944 to January 1945, as shown in the table on
page 709 of the same publication. Features “N” marked winged blade front and replacement “shield/H” marked milled adjustable peep rear sights, a
“3-44” dated Inland barrel, “triangle” marked type II barrel band, underlined “PI” type IV operating rod, “A.I.” blued flat-top bolt, along with an Inland milled trigger
housing with an “E.I.” type IV magazine release, unmarked push-button safety, and “H.I.” type III hammer. Fitted with an “IO” marked four-rivet walnut handguard, a second series “low-wood” M1A1 paratrooper stock
with folding metal wire butt, leather cheek rest with steel rivets, an “IO” mark on the interior, and an “ordnance wheel” stamp on the right side of the ‘Slim Jim’ grip, along with a “IW” marked blued magazine.
CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, retaining 90% plus refurbished parkerized and 95% blue finish with some minor cycling wear, minor handling wear, scattered minor spotting/freckling on the wire buttstock, and clear markings. The
wood is very fine with some minor scuffs and handling marks along with clear stamps. Mechanically excellent.
