Rare and Desirable Street Legal U.S. Military AM General Slant
Back HMMWV Humvee Vehicle - Very desirable U.S. Marine Corps
M1026 slant back HMMWV Humvee, manufactured by AM General
in 1986 and currently registered as street/road legal! Introduced in
U.S. military service in 1983, the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled
Vehicle (HMMWV), better known as the “Humvee”, is a family of rugged
four wheel drive military and utility trucks manufactured by AM
General, consisting of at least 17 variants. This is reportedly one of the
first 750 Marine Corps HMMWV’s to be released to the public with full
titles. Humvees universally fill the roles of the original military “jeeps”,
the “Gama Goat” and other light trucks in military service. These saw
widespread use during the Gulf War of 1991 and the Global War on
Terrorism, where they navigated rough desert terrain, and are still in
active service with the U.S. military and numerous other countries
today. This HMMWV is in its original air lift configuration and is fitted
with a MK 93 machine gun mount, armored 3/4 swivel gunner’s shield,
10,000 pound winch, Red Dot upgraded military air conditioner, run-
flat tires, additional .50 caliber ammo can racks, a full pioneer kit, and
original slave cable for the 24-volt output.
CONDITION: Fine, with most of the woodland camouflage paint finish.
Tires are also fine. Mechanically functions. This is a rare opportunity
to be able to acquire a street legal registered U.S. military slant back
Humvee. A must have for the military collector!
Estimate: 40,000 - 60,000
