He enjoyed the skill of a good gunsmith, but was not
limited to collecting a single genre. Whether it was
bespoke English shotguns, the personal sidearms of
Hollywood legends, functional miniatures, or even the
utilitarian 1911s he carried on his hip, if Frank liked it, he
had to have it.
Frank Brownell was more than a titan of the industry,
he was a benefactor, a mentor, and more importantly, a
husband, father, grandfather, and friend. We are deeply
honored and profoundly grateful for the opportunity
to carry forward the Brownell legacy. As kindred spirits
and close neighbors in spirit and mission, we extend
our heartfelt thanks. This opportunity means more to
us than words can fully express, and we are committed
to upholding the values and vision that have made the
Brownell name so meaningful. Frank’s collection leaves
behind a perfect reflection of a man who impacted lives,
changed an industry, was a leader for his community, and
loved what he did.
