Registered Hammer Pack, Class III/NFA Fully Transferable - Serial no. 055G, 223 cal.. Green plastic internals
with a brown plastic housing, with the LaFrance Specialties address, model, caliber and serial number markings
on the left side of the housing. The internals are not individually serial numbered.
CONDITION: Excellent, with minor handling marks overall. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This weapon is a National
Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and
Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 479.
B) Steyr AUG/SA Semi-Automatic Rifle, Host Gun, in HBAR Configuration, with Extra Barrel - Serial no.
900SA527, 5.56x45 mm cal., 24 inch round bbl., matte black finish, synthetic stock. Manufactured in Austria in
1983 as a semi-automatic receiver in emulation of the AUG infantry rifle and imported by Gun South, this example
has been outfitted with the LaFrance hammer pack (as described in A) and an American-made 24 inch barrel with
mounted bipod, turning it into a selective fire rifle in emulation of the AUG Heavy Barreled Automatic Rifle (HBAR)
squad automatic weapon, though using a closed-bolt mechanism instead of the HBAR’s open bolt operation.
The heavyweight barrel is fitted with a ported flash hider and a folding bipod, along with the traditional foregrip,
and the receiver has the traditional integral combat optic with backup iron sights, and is dated “BTR”. Matching
number present on the bolt carrier, which has been modified for compatibility with the sear in the hammer pack.
Standard markings are present on the stock assembly; the “SA” in “AUG/SA” has been scuffed or worn, but remains
legible. With the hammer pack installed, the trigger operates in a staged selective mode, with a short pull firing a
single shot and a long pull firing in full automatic. Included with the lot is an extra barrel, 13 1/2 inches long with
a birdcage flash hider and folding pistol grip.
CONDITION: Excellent, 90% plus original matte black finish, showing some rubbing from the bipod and charging
handle, and other light handling marks overall. The combat optic is clear and crisp. Mechanically excellent. NOTE:
This item is a “host” for a NFA-registered conversion component, and will not be separated from that component
for sale or shipment. The serial numbered receiver of this item has not been permanently altered to accept the
conversion component.
