1894 rifle was manufactured in 1903 and has an octagon barrel marked with the two line address and patent information ahead of the rear sight, two line smokeless/
nickel steel marking below the sight on the left, and “32 W.S.” on top at the breech. It is equipped with a German silver blade front sight and a “SMOKELESS/-32W.S.-M94-”
marked adjustable rear sight. The top of the barrel and action correctly do not have the Winchester “WP” proofmark. The upper tang is marked with the three-line model and patent

factory letter confirms the rifles configuration and that it was received in the warehouse on February 20, 1903, and shipped on August 1, 1903, Order number 187283.
CONDITION: Fine. The rifle retains 70% of the original blue finish and most of the case colors on the lever and hammer. The right side of the hammer has brighter cycling wear and the blue
finish is thinning in some areas from handling. There are some patches of light to mild pitting primarily confined to the receiver along with several dings and marks at some of the edges. The reoiled wood is very good and has only
minor pressure marks and slight abrasions primarily on the forearm. Mechanically excellent.

LOT 1024
Antique Special Order Winchester Model 1886 Lever Action Rifle - Serial no. 63189, 40-82 WCF cal., 26 inch octagon
bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1891, this is a fine example of the Winchester Model 1886. The John Browning designed ‘86 was not
Winchester’s first entry into the “big bore” lever action game, that title is held by the Model 1876 with its toggle-link action. It was however the first rifle they produced that
was strong enough to handle cartridges of immense power, due to its locking-block action with two large, vertical locking lugs. These rifles were highly valued in the American
West well into the 20th century for their firepower and rugged dependability, and this example in particular certainly has the look of a rifle that spent some time on the frontier. This example
has the attractive casehardened receiver, which was standard on the Model 1886 until around 1902. The top of the barrel is marked with the two-line Winchester address on the top barrel flat and the caliber
marking at the breech. The top of the upper tang has the model marking, and the lower tang is marked with the two-line patent dates as well as the serial number. It is fitted with a German silver No. 21 blade front sight,
an elevation adjustable No. 24 rear sight, a single set trigger, and sling swivels on the forearm cap and bottom of the stock. It is mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate.
CONDITION: Fine, retains 50% of the original blue finish, 30% of the original case colors, and 70% of the original nitre blue on the loading gate with the balance mostly a smooth grey patina and some scattered minor scratches. The
wood is very good with scattered minor dings and scratches, as well as a minor chip absent from the left of the stock. Mechanically excellent.
Estimate: 3,000 - 4,500
LOT 1023
Antique Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action Rifle in Desirable .38-55 W.C.F. - Serial no. 11524, 38-55
WCF cal., 26 inch octagon bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1895, the second year of production,
this is a fine example of a standard configuration Winchester Model 1894 rifle. Few things are more inherently American
than a Winchester lever action rifle, and they continue to hold legendary status within American folklore right alongside the Colt Single
Action Army revolver. The Model 1894 was the most prolific of Winchester’s lever actions, with more than 7,500,000 having been produced. About one quarter of the Model 1894
production up to around serial number 353,999 was chambered in .38-55 W.C.F. like this example, and it remains a popular caliber among collectors to this day. This specific rifle is marked with standard
two-line address and “38-55” on top of the barrel, three-line model/trademark/patent date on the upper tang, and serial number on the bottom of the receiver. It is fitted with a German silver No. 21 blade front
sight and an elevation adjustable No. 24 notch rear sight. It is mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate.
CONDITION: Fine, retains 60% plus of the original blue finish, 30% of the original case colors on the hammer and lever, and 40% of the original nitre blue on the loading gate with the balance having thinned
to either a grey or plum brown patina, some light pitting on the upper tang and lever, and some scattered light handling marks. The reoiled wood is also very good with scattered minor dings and scratches.
Mechanically excellent.
Estimate: 4,000 - 6,000
LOT 1022

443515B, 44-40 WCF cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1892, the Model
1873 is one of the most famous of all American firearms and has been popularly known as “the Gun that
Won the West” due to its popularity with pioneers. This example is a third model with the integral dust cover guide and dust cover with grip serrations at
the rear. The top of the barrel has the two-line address and King’s patent marking and the caliber marking, which is repeated on the bottom of the cartridge elevator. The model
marking is on the upper tang and the serial number is on the lower tang. It is fitted with a Lyman beaded blade front sight and a elevation adjustable No. 24 notch rear sight. It is mounted
with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a trapdoor crescent buttplate.
CONDITION: Fine, retains 60% plus of the original blue finish, 40% of the vibrant original case colors (mostly on the hammer), and 70% plus of the original nitre blue on the loading gate with the balance
having thinned to a mix of grey and brown patina and a few scattered patches of light surface spotting. The wood is also fine with some scattered minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
